Devil Track Lake Cabins
We have always dreamed about owning a small resort or bed and breakfast. When we found the cabins, quite by accident, we immediately fell in love and knew they were meant for us. Neither of us had ever been to Minnesota, but it felt like home. Grand Marais is such a lovely quaint harbor town, and we are very excited to become part of this diverse and unique community.

Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. With any luck, we will get to retire by the lake someday. Our Mission is to provide an outstanding experience for our guests, from arrival to departure. We strive to provide a friendly atmosphere and relaxed environment to ensure our guests will feel welcomed and important.
Services
The quaint harbor village of Grand Marais is on the northern shores of Lake Superior. It is only 110 miles from Duluth and is an easy drive along North Shore Scenic Drive (Hwy 61). In 2014, the population was around 1,400 residents, but in the summer months, the population can balloon to as many as 20,000.
Gunflint Tavern is our local Brewpub. They serve everything from pizza and burgers to Nova Scotia Fisherman's Stew and their delicious Asian Big Bowl. Its definitely a local favorite. I personally love the Butternut Squash Ravioli. My Sister's Place is my favorite burger joint. They have over 20 different kinds of burgers.
We were so lucky to find Grand Marais State Bank. Marja Erickson was our loan officer, and she treated us like we were family. The process was very streamlined and she helped us through everything. Our loan processor was Stephanie Higgins. She is absolutely amazing. These two women actually make dreams come true as a job.

Five stars! My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the Bird's Nest Cabin. A secluded spot with privacy from neighboring cabins. Just steps away from your cabin you can launch a canoe or enjoy the dock. The cabin kitchen had every tool I needed to cook dinner and a grill outside for BBQs. Devil Track Lake Cabins is a great home base for hiking in the area, paddling Devil Track Lake, or hanging out in Grand Marais. Linda and Troy are excellent hosts. Highly recommend!

Clean, adorable, perfect location. Great beds, towels and gas oven. All anyone needs, just bring food and clothes. They also have a kayak, canoe and row boat available for use. Motor boat $50ish a half day.

Spent a week in June of 2020 here.
Wonderful comfortable cabins
Clean and tidy
Everything worked well and no issues.
Our cabin, Birds Nest, has a great view of the lake , both from the main room and master bedroom.
Facing straight south.
Location made a great central point to visit many North Shore points of interest.
Kayaks and a canoe available at no extra charge and we made use of these as paddling the southern island bays is great, especially in early am.
We are hard core fishing enthusiasts and this is not a fishing resort. It does not have the infrastructure to support that at this

We loved staying in the Foxes Den cabin. I am so impressed with their attention to details. The cabins are immaculate and stocked with a fair amount of essentials you will be glad you don’t have to pack. I loved the art in the cabin and was heartily thankful at how comfortable the furniture and beds were. Everything seemed crisp, clean and new. There were even beautiful solar lights that shone in the shape of a star to light the pathways. We had a lovely time and will strive to make our way back!

Wonderful experience here! The cabin was clean and well maintained--the first night there I actually slept through the whole night! The beds and the pillows were amazing; The view from our bedroom looked out onto the lake which the view was incredible morning and night. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Will definitely be coming back again.

We loved our stay here! We didn't have to go anywhere if we didn't want to. The lake was beautiful and the bird's nest cabin was perfect for our family! I loved all the nice touches of decor and everyone was very helpful.

Stayed there in July and what a beautiful place it is. Great Cabins, very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a great setup, would highly recommend. I don't think you'll find another resort owner as fair as Troy and Linda. The value is really uncontested. Docks available to accommodate my boat and found the fish to be agreeable. Work the first break for walleyes and the docks and rocks for smallies.

Our family (brother, sisters, their kids, and grandkids) have stayed at these cabins every summer for over 20 years. They are well-kept, clean, and quiet. We've never had a problem with neighboring cabins. They have kayaks and a canoe that the kids love to use. The cabins are relatively close to town and Lake Superior. I wondered as the kids got older and started families of their own if they would want to come back, and they always do. We look forward to staying there this summer.

Can't speak highly enough of our experience at the Devil Track Lake Cabins. Stayed here for three nights in late June with 13 total people - we rented all four cabins (the entire resort). Leading up to the trip, Linda, the owner, was extremely responsive, most often responding to my emails within minutes. The cabins and grounds were well maintained and very clean. It appears all of the interior woodwork was recently refinished. The interiors of each cabin were literally spotless, and the owner has recently purchased all new beds, bedding, towels, etc. Great supply of "the basics": pots/pans, plates

Nice cozy cabin. Had everything we needed and only 13 minutes to town. While standing on the dock watching the sun set, we heard wolves howling in the distance. Pretty cool!
