Matthew is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) who graduated with both a Masters of Arts and a Masters of Education in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Since graduation, Matthew has had years of experience working at both the LGBT Community Center and Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) of NYC where he has developed essential skills to offer the most effective and caring therapeutic experience in a safe and affirming environment.

Though Matthew is well versed and experienced working with the entire lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community, there are slight differences between the experiences of every subgroup. Being both gay and a man in our society presents a unique set of challenges and issues that can manifest and impact one's sense of self and ability to achieve the things one hopes to get from life.
