Hawaii Naturopathic Retreat specializes in mind-body-spirit and holistic medicine. We treat residential patients as well as outpatients. We offer medically supervised programs, detoxification, weight loss programs, natural drug rehabilitation, wellness programs and healthy vacations.
Our programs focus on biochemical, mental and emotional detoxification, using natural methods such as raw food diet, juicing, juice fasting, water fasting, exercise, massage, counseling, psychotherapy and meditation.We also use various naturopathic methods: hydrotherapy, infrared sauna, enemas, colon hydrotherapy, acupuncture, acupressure.

At Hawaii Naturopathic Retreat we believe in the prevention, treatment and reversal of chronic illness. We seek to find the root causes of diseases and use natural non-invasive methods to treat symptoms. We address health on multiple levels that include social, spiritual, psychological and lifestyle factors to honor the integration of these areas within one individual to realize the full human potential.
I was feeling like a low energy slug, overweight and burdened with chronic back pain. I spent thousands of dollars on treatments and supplements which gave me partial and temporary relief over years of efforts. Since 1989 I had been dealing with physical symptoms that sent me on a wild goose chase of MD's, acupuncturists, naturopaths, psychic healers, and specialized clinics.

My card was charged without my permission and when confronting the owner about it she was very rude and disrespectful. Be careful as they are not upfront about breakdown of costs and invoicing . It’s seems like a fraud place and the costs do not match the value and description of services on the website .

I attended the 10-day Wellness Detox Retreat in June 2021 and it was outstanding! I had very personalized service and was able to achieve that 'reset' I was looking for. Not only did I detox my body but I also found peace and quiet and was able to detox my mental state. The setting near Kealakekua Bay at the Luana Inn couldn't have been better. The view was amazing and it was in a non-tourist area which was perfect for relaxing.

--No staff for housekeeping, so you do you own cleaning
--It’s a house and dishwasher was not working, so we had to clean our own dishes after meals

--Doctor consult she charges 200$ with no useful information after the consult
--Complete rip-off

In 2010 I had a month long stay at the Hawaiian Naturopathic Retreat Center. It was there with Dr Baylac and her compassionate staff that I began to find real freedom from lifelong patterns of addictive behavior. Today I am 8-plus years completely sober and I enjoy a sense of self empowerment that I never before had.
I am very grateful for the month of intense therapy, relaxation and what I learned to go forward in creating a life I love. Mahalo!

Please do not waste your hard-earned money on this clinic.I spent weekshweeks unfortunately, because I was unable to get my money back. Places like this and NDs like Dr. Baylac demonstrate the need for better regulations in naturopathic and alternative medical fields. My experience with Dr. Baylac is one that deserves FIVE STARS. One Star for her Hard Work in preparing herself to help those who approach her with their health problems, without using habit forming, synthetic drugs that do more harm than good. A Second Star for her diligence in continuing education to broaden her range of expertise to help both mind and body. A Third Star for developing the wisdom to help those who suffer from Spiritual Stress often caused by ungrateful fellow humans . 1st off I feel amazing, 20 pounds lighter and 20 years younger. The staff is super professional and the equipment is mess free. 5 years ago I paid $3200 for the same service, at another facility, that I got today at Hawaii Naturopathic retreat center for just $80. It's a limited time offer and I'm so glad I went.

I have had Lyme disease and various other chronic and auto-immune conditions for decades. I searched high and low for a retreat center that could truly assist me in my healing journey. I'm only posting this because it's part of my healing to listen to intuition and share, and hopefully someone can avoid what I went through. I was here a couple of months ago to do a juice and water fast to help heal my gut. I felt ready to embark on this health experience and the doctor I was working with were on the same page. However, when I showed up, my whole plan was changed and I was told I have to stay longer. The owner was very bossy to me and said I have to stay longer. I have my own history with medical mistreatment and this brought back a whole nightmare for me. It was a horrible experience

I'm shocked at some of the reviews I'm reading about the centre. I don't recognize the experiences written because my own was so positive. I felt the team was extremely professional and kind and that the compassion and expertise they showed me was rare in this world. It is not a corporate facility so if you are looking for a 4 star resort this is not it. I feel strongly one needs to prioritize what is important when our health is on the line but the place was cleaned daily and everything that needed to be sanitized was.
