Merritt Auction Service was started by "Red" Merritt in Greenville, MI in 1951. For over 60 years, we've grown to be one of the most respected Auction Companies in the state of Michigan. The company is now owned and operated by Red's son Doug Merritt and grandson Tim Tobey. Together they continue the fine tradition of knowledge, hard work and professionalism you have come to know and expect.

We serve the entire West Michigan area and beyond. Merritt Auction Service is bonded, insured and we are graduates of Reppert's School of Auctioneering.

Beware!! I would have donate my items to Goodwill or Mel Trotter if I knew Merritt was going to give my items away. Merritt Auction will bs you and say they can sell your things at a good price. What they don't tell you is they will sell your things for $3.00 less 25% commision less $2.00 flat fee so you will get a big .25 cents for your items. Now I know why it took me 6 months to get a check & list of the sale (I had to demand my items back before they responded). They do not deserve to be paid for such a poor job!! Also there was missing items they must have kept. They will not return your calls

Positives:
1. The auctioneers are all excellent at this auction house. They're experienced and professional and do a good job with good cadence and consistency.
2. The consignment auctions offer a wide variety of items every month which always makes the day interesting.
Negatives:
1. The bid sheets are EXTREMELY slow to be entered and the bid entry system is chaotic at best in the office. I've run into this every time I've attended an in house auction in Greenville. A computerized system would go a LONG way towards fixing this glaring problem.
2. The customer service end in terms of interacting
