They had my daughters laptop 3 weeks for a simple virus scan. (2 weeks longer than they estimated when dropped off). Then had the nerve to charge $50 for the scan (which took less than 1/2 hour). This was on top of the $50 diagnostic fee (we never actually received a “diagnosis”). Never again.

They sold me a faulty battery 4 months ago and refused to make it right 2 separate times. Very poor customer service. Update: I got a phone call and a refund. So happy they contacted me and followed through.

Had my one year old PC almost a month. Cost 190 to troubleshoot and reload windows. Forgot to order part to read drive. Wanted more to repair touch screen than computer was new. When I got it back the cover was filthy and had minor scratches on it. Sent email to Mr Ford complaining and it went un answered.

McKenzie and Carol from nerds on call are the rudest most immature unprofessional employees in a service industry job I've ever encountered (excluding of course the DMV employees). Knowingly lying about your computers ability to work properly yet gladly taking your money. Stay as far away from this place as you can.

Techs broke my pc and the solution was to allow them more time to fix the issue. Never fixed the issue and found later they had never properly reinstalled my harddrive causing me to have to buy a new one due to thier mess up shorting the harddrive.

Their mandatory diagnostic tests are 45 bucks unrefundable. This is even the case if they cannot fix your computer. How can you perform diagnostics if you cannot even get the computer to turn on. Shouldn’t you refund that $45? Bad business model

I use Nerds on Call all the time. They're fast, they give accurate estimates and they don't do additional work without a phone call first. Best of all, they're honest. There are times when they'll tell me the cost of the repair will be more than the machine is worth. That means a lot and that's why I keep going back. 🙂

Took my cell IPhone to get a new battery. They ordered the battery, I went in, and when they put it in my phone, the battery blew up. Bottom line, I ended up without a phone for FOUR days and, they gave me no money off for my inconvenience. I mentioned I should get money off, And said, frankly, I don't think I should have to pay anything. They just stared at me. Paid for my phone and got the H out of there. Unhappy customer!

Gave them a laptop which was having blue screen issues. Took their sweet time and then came back after a $50 diagnostic fee that the mother board of laptop was faulty and it's basically a dead machine. Brought the laptop back home, it wasn't even screwed back properly, fixed it, installed Windows and it's been running for last 3 days with out any issue. Highly unprofessional, as they deleted the partitions of hard drive and didn't even bother to recreate them. I gave them a faulty but still functional laptop and they returned a unbootable machine. Lucky I knew how to recover it, most people would

I got my service done about 4 months ago, but it is crucial to not allow others to experience what I went through. In short, I have brought my Macbook Pro (2012 Non-retina) to this place 4 times, and each time, the computer has stopped working within 3 months of service. While I understand this is most likely a problem with the hardware on the computer and not the service, the last time I went to Nerds on Call, ensured I will never go back.
Not only did they ruin my $50 case for my Macbook Pro by cracking it, making it unable to stay attached to the computer, they did not put a SINGLE screw back

Excellent service. The people here are always so helpful and answer all of my questions. I brought in my computer because it wasn't turning on and I don't know anything about fixing this stuff, they called me the same day and got it up and running for a fair price. Fast and reliable.

I needed an anti static bag to mail a GPU. Nerds On Call was literally the only place that helped me out. They were also the only people that knew what an anti static bag was when they answered the phone. Even when I called Geek Squad, the guy told me that he didn't know but they sold book bags... A lady at Fix My Gadget told me she didn't know, but she would put a request in the computer and have a professional call me. Anyways, they are really friendly, super helpful, and know their stuff!

Went to nerds on call for a simple laptop repair. I told them exactly what was wrong, just wanted them to order a new part. They spent two weeks troubleshooting unnecessarily and then finally called for my permission to order the part I originally told them I needed replaced. The part didn't even last one day when I finally got my laptop back. They either installed it wrong or gave me a defective part. On top of all of that, terrible customer service. I'd rather drive to the Apple Store in Chicago than use them again.

My computer would not access my home wireless. I took it here and they charged me $45 to tell me there was nothing wrong with it. I took it to Peoria IT and they fixed it while I waited in about 30 seconds and did not charge me!

They spent several hours at the house, and the computer did not work any better. The next day I was told I had to take it into the shop, to check the hard drive. The third day again they came to the house, and now it is worst than it was originally. Gave up and went out and bought a new computer.
