I like to see the whole family, to treat the whole person. Because of the nature of my practice I have the privilege of following patients from the womb on. I have lived in Yakima since 1989 and have been associated with Family Medicine of Yakima since 1990. I grew up outside of Pittsburgh as the middle of three boys.
HealthyNow offers convenient, same-day care when you need it and offers evening and weekend medical care. Your family physician is the best one to go to for your care. However, there are times when your doctor is not available, you need care fast, but the emergency room is not the best option. For those minor illnesses, such as coughs, colds, sprains and strains, HealthyNow has you covered.
Patients are seen by appointment only. Please call for an appointment at (509)966-9480. If you walk in, you will be triaged to the next available appointment, and you may have to return at a later time. If you are enrolled in the Patient Portal, you may schedule your own appointment (limited to brief visits but not physical exams, procedures or complex problems).

I would have given them 4+ stars but after how I was treated by the office staff this evening. I will be moving all of my family’s care away from FMY. The staff was rude, didn’t care of why I was even there, or that their phone system hadn’t been working on incoming calls. They were more concerned in the idea they were ‘short-staffed’. I asked for one minor piece of patient care report and I was told ‘then go down to medical records, I’m sure they’ll help you.’ This quote was from someone that was not a part of the conversation nor a person I have ever seen at the office. I grew up receiving excellent healthcare services at this office. As an adult, Dr. Samuel now follows medical care for my whole family. From check in, to check out, this team does an excellent job. I felt completely comfortable with Dr. Samuel’s guidance through pregnancy. All of my (many) appointments through pregnancy started on time, I never felt rushed and Dr. Samuel has a very gentle and welcoming presence. She knows what questions to ask, even when I don’t know what questions I have! My birthing experience under Dr. Wiley’s care was seamless and I felt confident in her expertise.

My mother in law was let go due 3 "missed" appointments. She honestly missed 2 but the last one she was canceled on by the doctor and it still gave her the third strike. With covid and her loosing her life partner this was beyond the stress she needed as she has many health issues. DO NOT SUPPORT THEM!!!

I have been going to this clinic (from out of town) for nearly seven years. Even after being briefly switched to a different doctor after my previous one left I ended up coming back. I absolutely love Dr. Hunte. She really listens to any of my concerns and gives me numerous options and helps me make the right choice. The staff for the most part have been very friendly and welcoming, especially some of the newer staff I've met over the past year or so. I can't see myself going to any other clinic!

My family have been patients for the past 3 years. When we first started going to this clinic it was great, but the last 2 times I've been I can not get an appointment or a staff member to call me back within a timely manner to set up an appointment (Took 3 days). Once at the appointment they keep you waiting for an hour or longer in the lobby. Then once in the back room you wait another hour to see your doctor. The doctor was so late and behind that she didn't even take a moment to look at my daughters chart. She asked me how much she weighed so she could prescribe a medication. She barely took

Most uncareing Dr. i ever seen. Didn't even address my depression. Called me noncompliant because I wouldn't pay out of pocket for a 6 month blood pressure check. I have a blood pressure cuff and i use it. Also had been to dentist 3 weeks in a row and they said it was very good. Because I was "noncompliant" they refused me service and wouldn't refill my thyroid pills. I went 3 months without them and wanted to die. I was a mess. I had to wait 3 months for new insurance. I finally was able to go to neighborhood health. There i was treated like a human. They were very compassionate. And helped me
