Never in all my life have I ever known a dentist who is more committed to his profession than Dr. Benjamin Mandel who takes a lot of pride in his work because he loves, loves, loves what he’s doing and he’s wonderful with even the most difficult, squirmy-wormy patients like me. Gotta love him. *DR. BENNY* (!) is the BEST.

Desiree is awesome. She squeezed me in for my last cleaning of the year effortlessly. She always makes me feel like she’d do anything for me like if I was a family member❤️. Dr Mandel and his team are the nicest and most professional team I’ve been to. They really care about you, your teeth and gums.

Dr. Ben Mandel and his staff are always kind, professional and thorough. Dr. Mandel is always gentle no matter what procedure is being done. Not many can say that they no longer fear going to their Dentist, but I do. My teeth and gums are in the best shape they have ever been in since becoming a patient. I recommend them highly.

My tooth hurts more after seeing Ben Mandel. He removed the old filling and put a new filling in it and now it hurts when I chew. It did not hurt when I chewed before he filled it. He rambles on about crowns and how I need a crown. Maybe he is right. However, if he could not reduce the pain, then he should not have done anything. Now I need to carefully chew and chew on the other side of my mouth.

I do not recommend this dentist. His staff is nice and he is somewhat jovial. However, my dad thinks he is way too expensive and bent on selling crowns. I regret seeing him and have half a notion to

Came for a cleaning. Was told that they would only do a “deep cleaning” requiring two additional visits and anesthesia. Have never required a deep cleaning before, and talked with father-in-law who is (was) a long time patient here as well. He said he had the same experience (and he has now chosen another dentist). Seemed like a nice enough guy, but from the moment I met him, felt like I was at a used car lot. He talked about all the fancy technology he uses, suggested I throw out my previous dental products and use what he recommends, and then quoted over $6000 including replacing old fillings

I really like the staff here. Desire the appointment setter is very knowledgeable and nice to speak with about any concerns I have or questions. The dental assistant Maribel is an absolute sweetheart. Additionally, Dr Mandel is cool to get to see. I enjoy coming in to my appointment to update them all on how I am progressing in my health. I have let Dr Mandel pull 4 of my wisdom teeth at age 30 with no issues. I have also invested in multiple crowns here that look and feel great considering the amount of damage I inflicted on myself in the past. The environment here is very relaxing and chill.

First and foremost, we’re glad we found your office when we did. It truly has been rewarding for us, especially for Edward, and we know it will continue to be.
Please accept my sincere thanks, also to your caring staff for taking such good care of Edward during this whole ordeal with his front teeth. I know you had a plan for the reconstruction. Thank you for your expertise and stellar service! It is so reassuring to be a patient of Dr. Mandel. Thank you for the follow up call.
Sincerely,

Can you give negative points? This guy put in six implants to hold a snap on denture for me years ago in Santa Clara County. All six implants failed within 5 years. I spent a fortune close to $15,000 at the time and when I tried to get my money back no one would help me. Oh, he also wasn't a member of the Santa Clara County Dental Society so I'd be very careful before I used his services. No lawyers would take a case again a dentist so don't expect help there as well. He cost me so much bone loss from the implants he placed that I was never able to have them replaced. Several

Honestly felt like that they just wanted my money and the fact that they emailed me 9, NINE times asking for a review was a HUGE turn off, and then the office manager texted me, which is not okay either. Felt like a cash grab office, never had a dental office be so pushy with products and getting reviews. Dr said i needed 5 root canals but according to second and third opinions, they all said that was a crock of sh*t

Oh and i found a new dentist and they called this office to get my records and the front reception was extremely rude to my new office. I wasn't intending on leaving a review

I was referred to Mandel, DDS from a neighbor after moving to our neighborhood. I want to be clear, the dental assistant and hygienist did a wonderful job.

This review is centered around Mandel himself and his receptionist. From the moment he introduced himself, I was bombarded by solicitations to purchase various dental products and to have various cosmetic dental procedures performed. My teeth are in outstanding shape overall and aside from needing two aging silver fillings removed, not in the market for anything relating to cosmetics dentistry.

I made this point casually, respectfully

I've been going to Dr. Mandel for years. When I needed a quick cleaning done and there was no available slot open for a hygienist, Dr. Mandel performed the cleaning himself(!) just so I wouldn't have to come back another day. Other dentists would have passed me off to the appointment book. But, Dr. Mandel is not "other dentists." His attention to patient care and knowledge of dentistry is unmatched by other dentists hocking their used car salesmen coupon deals in the mail or on Facebook.

When I was in high school, I had an injury that damaged several of my front upper teeth

Used to be a patient at this office switched because of the rude women in front. Had a family emergency and had to cancel my appt they gave me such a hard time. (If only we could predict family emergencies) also the dr doesn't care how much pain your in. then at my new office they did X-rays and turns out dr Mendel left a piece of my tooth in that he "pulled". Don't go here.

Shady, pushy and downright wrong...It's been less than 2 years since I gave this guy a lot of money and now all his crappy work is falling apart and about to cost me a ton of cash! This is the pushiest and most unethical dental practice I have ever come across and once I left them they basically continued to harass me for several months with phone calls, emails and even texts....the last appt I had here I had the pleasure of the dental hygienist telling me about her dead chihuahua and the fact that the dogs head was the only thing they found.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found Dr. Mandel online and did not know at first that his practice was a Holistic practice. However, when I found out, I was very happy about it. There are very few Holistic practices that insurance covers.

I was thrilled with the level of customer service that Dr. Mandel and his staff provided. I felt more like a friend coming for a visit than just another numbered patient. Everyone was smiling and made me feel comfortable and at ease. I am not a big fan of going to the dentist, so this was very comforting.

Dr. Mandel was very upfront with me about my treatment options and he seemed

For 20 years I went to a dentist on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego. Basically, I was a patient there because this office took two insurance carriers I had, whereas other offices did not.

To tell you the truth, I was not all that satisfied with this particular dentist. It was a large facility with numerous patients coming and going; the staff never remembered my name, let alone hardly ever receiving a greeting upon entering; the office waiting room always was cold; and I grew weary of the large-screen television always showing CNN...

Other things happened which I will not delve into here

It's really sad when Dentists lose sight of the reason why they are in this profession.

The minute you walk through the doors they see money signs.

Meh, I rather donate at a blood drive if I feel like being bled dry.
