Services
The Loess Hills State Forest offers over 12,000 acres of the best whitetail and wild turkey hunting in the Midwest. The steep and rugged terrain of the forest help our deer grow to trophy size. Broken up into four units, each has a food plot left in all winter long. Bass, catfish, bluegill and crappie are swimming nearby our main entrance in Monona County's Savery Pond.

The cabin was clean and comfy. There was not too many people there and the cabin had a good amount of privacy. My friend was excited about learning how to fish but my other friend had forgotten her tackle box. The owner was kind enough to give us fishing gear! I was very impressed by this. I highly reccomend this place for a little getaway. Just be prepared to not have phone service.

The owners were kind and responsive.
I stayed in cabin 2. This would not be a place for those with mobility difficulties as it is hilly and there are a lot of stairs.
I did not take any hikes, but I saw a lot of trails on the property, one right out my front door. Everything was clean and in good shape. The picnic table is built in, so that it can be level where the ground isn't.
The website states that the cabins have an electric skillet along with other kitchen essentials. I have taken pictures of these as I like to know details.
The bath house has pay washer and dryer (one of each), a kitchen

We held our family reunion there last weekend. With members coming from Alaska, it was challenging to get arrangements made. However, Martin is a great guy and made everything work. The facilities, cabins and campsites, were above expectations! Everything is well-kept and well-supplied. We will be back.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway from the city. We are from Omaha so it was a welcome getaway. Our cabin was cozy, quiet, and secluded. What a perfect getaway. The bathouse was very very clean and cozy as well with hot showers. Martin the owner was very nice. We will most definitely be staying here again and have already recommended to friends and family.

This was one of the cleanest, most cared-for campgrounds my wife and I have ever been in. The cabin was decorated, and the indoor and outdoor furniture were solid and not cheap. Never seen a cleaner, more sanitary shower house in my life, and they even provided magazines to read, lol.
There were nice trails that connect directly to all four cabins, probably 90 minutes to 2 hours to walk them all, really nice views, maintained. And literally a 60-second walk from our cabin #1 was a bench atop a hill with the most incredible view, majestic.
The owner was also very responsive to email questions

We stayed for two days in the cottage, and what a wonderful spot! It's on a gravel road and I was a little concerned there would be road dust... we saw about three cars a day! Across the road is a dense woods and I identified almost 25 different songbirds by sight or call. Completely quiet and peaceful with a lovely landscaped yard and large patio… ring around a fire pit. The cottage itself was far better/bigger than I expected, with a full kitchen (awesome full size fridge), great shower and very comfortable bed. If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful spot, away from noise and people
