Services
At Martial Arts Academy, we help parents raise confident leaders and adults reach their true potential. It is our core belief that any student at any age or maturity can achieve the rank of Black Belt and become a leader. Our instructors and academy leaders serve as visual examples and role models for the students to follow.
With more than 20 years of experience in various martial arts, Mr. Velez stresses the balance between the traditional aspects of the martial arts, progressive training methods and the more modern goals of personal and professional leadership development. Mr. Velez began training in 1989 at the age of 6 and earned his black belt as a teen.

My son started attending here nearly 2 years ago, myself 7 months ago. For both of us, it has been a wonderful experience from the start! Mr Valez is a talented and patient instructor with children and adults alike! It’s given my son a confidence that is amazing, and helped my own discipline and health tremendously! We searched and searched for the right place for our daughter and we are so happy we found Martial Arts Academy!!! We have been here for little over a year now and the difference in our daughter is amazing her confidence and self esteem are like never before. I have to say the instructors are very helpful and understanding also always available to answer any questions.

The MAA is a great place to come as a family to train. My first interaction was for my son when he was little. Years later, I'm back with my daughter and decided to get out on the mat with her this time. After a couple weeks of observing the classes, my wife decided to join. You will not only learn valuable life skills that can really help the kids go far in life, but also get a great workout that will definitely remind you that you used to be in better shape! The classes are for all ages. It's nice to see little kids out training with adults. The entry level classes are designed to teach some

As we progress through the ranks toward our black belt, I see the confidence my sons are gaining, the leadership skills they are developing, and the consistent respectful nature that is reinforced during training. Mr. Velez and his team work hard to make training challenging and productive, but still fun. Best of all, we are doing it together as a family. I love being able to share this experience with my kids!

I have known Mr. Velez for many years. He is a fantastic instructor, child especially. He knows how to connect with them, keep their attention, and make classes both fun and educational. My son has been taking classes for over 2 years and I have seen him grow to be disciplined, self-confident, and mature beyond his age. If you are considering martial arts for yourself or family, this is absolutely the place you want to be.

My son has much more confidence and self control since joining Martial Arts Academy. As a family we support and encourage him and it really has made a difference. After trying several other after school activities and team sports, I was about to give up hope...I am so glad I didn't. Mr. Velez and the other instructors are wonderful. My son has looks forward to going to class and has a great time.
