Services
With over 20 years of experience in psychiatric office administration, Sara provides virtual assistant services for a number of physicians from her home office in the Denver area. Not a week goes by without someone singing praises for her quick turnaround time and reliable service. The genuine care she has for people make her an instant favorite.
The intensive assessment involves two to four visits completed over one to two months. Symptom reducing treatments are offered at the first or second visit. The results of a comprehensive set of lab tests clarifies physiologic root causes.

At the conclusion of the assessment, you will receive treatment recommendations for all three arms of the Integrative Psychiatry Model (link to About): symptom management, physiologic root causes, psychospiritual root causes. The advantage is more data and direction in a focused time period. The paced assessment is done incrementally in parallel with ongoing symptom-focused treatment.
Through the lens of integrative medicine, Dr. Settle views symptoms as dashboard lights signaling deeper issues in your body, mind and spirit. These signals carry priceless information about the health of your body and it's relationship with the world around you.

Integrative psychiatry goes beyond what is offered by conventional psychiatry by screening for and treating a wide range of root-causes instead of focusing on silencing the body's messages.Current research implicates both brain inflammation (neuroinflammation) and body inflammation in causing or contributing to every type of mental health symptom.
A variety of tools are used to reduce symptoms including nutritional supplements, prescription medications and mind-body techniques. Conventional psychiatry stops here. Integrative psychiatry goes deeper to address the root causes behind these symptoms. Using the latest functional/integrative medicine knowledge base, Dr. Settle addresses the physiologic root causes of mental health symptoms.

As I psychologist who is concerned with helping my clients to find holistic health (not just mental and emotional health), I refer to Dr. Settle with confidence. I know that she will take an integrative approach with anyone that I send her, which takes into account their medical, nutritional, emotional, and psychological needs. This is not always a fast and easy process, but it is a process that I trust to be the most effective.
I also appreciate her knowledge in the area of trauma-informed care. I never feel like I have to worry that she will take a "cookie cutter" approach to a complex case
