Legacy Travel opened in April of 1989. Located in Plano, Texas we have been making vacation dreams come true ever since. Early in our journey we did corporate travel but quickly found that we loved doing vacations more than anything. You can read about all of the awards received by Legacy Travel here.

Once you've booked your trip with us, here's a little insight into what we do behind the scenes to make sure your trip is fabulous!. We use our knowledge of the destinations/resorts to match you with the best vacation for you. Again, you're unique. Your best vacation isn't like anyone elses. We can often accept a low deposit while the online travel sites usually require payment in full.
This was our first experience using Legacy Travel, and Marty did a phenomenal job! Our accommodations in Hawaii were spectacular, and everything about our trip went perfectly. Legacy Travel in Plano has now helped us with four trips, the last to Italy and Switzerland. Each trip has been meticulously planned with hotel rooms from charming and historic to elegant and pampering.

Huge props to the team at Legacy Travel for putting together such a fabulous birthday trip to Ireland this past November. The staff at Legacy Travel (Alyssa,Cathi,Lori)did a superb job in handling the Destination Weddings of my friend and her sister's wedding at Finest Playa Mujeres,Mexico.They were very thorough from beginning to end. Itinerary detailed everything! Transportation, hotel amenities, staff, well maintained grounds, security, and fine selection of cuisine did not disappoint. Actually got a follow up call from Legacy Travel staff to see if everything went well and enjoying our stay. Could not ask for a better experience!

My dealings with this agency has been going on since October 2020 and recently ended September 2021. 11 months and my experience was less than super. I was signed up by Legacy Travel with Apple Vacations (without my knowledge) and was VERY limited on where I could go and what I could use my funds on which was EXTREMELY frustrating. I was unable to go to Jamaica for my 30th bday due to circumstances outside of my control so my trip protection kicked in leaving me with a $1600+ credit with the agency.

Just recently returned from our trip to Greece and I must say what a magical trip Terrah put together for my wife and I. In this era of being able to be your own travel agent, I say on important trips leave it to the professionals! The hotels, excursions and recommendations were of the quality that it would be hard to find on your own or lucky if you did. Legacy also planned our trip to Italy in 2019. Marty thinks of everything. Second time we use Legacy Travel. This trip was to Cancun, an all-inclusive resort. It was super clean, staff was attentive and Covid cautious more than any hotel I have been too. We felt safe at all times. We did not have to sit through any sales pitches. None! We will be returning. They save us lots of time of course, but more than that, they take away the risk of a trip to the wrong place. This place had entertainment at all times, a variety of great food (not the best we've ever had, but all consistently high quality)

I decided to go on a last minute trip for spring break. In one day, Alyssa put together packages for Jamaica, Cancun, and Costa Rica. By the next day, my trip was booked, and 3 days later, I was on a direct flight to Liberia, CR.
The resort was beautiful, the services and amenities were impeccable, and the excursion into the rainforest was amazing.
This is my second trip booked through Alyssa and Legacy. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Thanks, Alyssa!

We had the pleasure of working with Katie to plan our amazing vacation. We did not make it easy on her, but she made it SO easy on us. We started planning a destination wedding in Mexico, but due to COVID, we decided to change it to a honeymoon instead and have a small local wedding. I would like to say after reaching out to several agencies around the area and getting no answer or replies via email. From the first moment I emailed Legacy travel, Hannah Cote reached out to me to get more information in regards the all inclusive trip I was looking for. I LOVED Legacy Travel. They made my trip so easy. All I had to do was tell them where I wanted to go and my price points. They took care of my resort, transportation, and air. It was SO easy. They also kept me updated on any changes to my flight months before the trip. They even went as far as making sure I had a middle seat in the middle of the plane because I'm afraid of flying. I will 100% be using them again for my next trip. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to have an amazing trip without the hassle of planning.

From the beginning, things were off. Let me just say from my experiences AND from my expectations, I would have planned a better trip for the money. If I could give this place negative stars - I would give -5.

I highly reccomended Legacy Travel. Our agent Jessica was so helpful and friendly and efficient. She didn't spare any details right up to the packing list for our trip. Cathi the owner was also friendly and professional. When we returned from our trip we even had a hand written note from our agent, it was an overall very professional and efficient yet very personalized experience. Wow - This place sucks. They were all about it until we gave them our money. After that it's been like pulling teeth. I think the real problem is Katie Reed. Just can't get her to respond. So I finally walked in the store and she made me wait for 30 min while she was on the phone. I finally just walked out.

Two of my closest girlfriends and myself needed help planning our trip to Europe, so we were referred to Legacy Travel by a friend. We thought Legacy Travel would "be a travel agent" and actually plan our trip. We had problem after problem once the planning was started. Cards charged multiple times without notice. Tours cancelled without notice, but this was only the beginning. Our hotel changed 1 week before leaving without notification.

Unfortunately, this was only our second experience using a travel agency and I'm afraid it will be our last. One of the greatest attributes of the service the office provided was that anyone could assist when I called or emailed with questions. Payment was easy and fast however, the execution of the plans on our trip is where it all fell apart. Too many major issues to recommend that anyone else use this company.
The office personalities were great. They were also very responsive but I would honestly not use them again considering the thousands of dollars we normally spend on our vacations
