Morningtide
Inspired by their upbringings along the coast of northern California, founders and friends Lisa Fontaine and Lisa Wong Jackson strongly believe in being thoughtful about the things they bring into their homes. Each piece should have a purpose, bring happiness and offer a sense of well being. Lisa Fontaine is a Santa Cruz native and entrepreneur.

Over the past several years, she has designed a line of women's clothing called Hygge and run a small arts and crafts camp for children during the summer. Lately, her creative energy is poured into making wheel-thrown ceramics called Soil and Slip. Lisa lives in Berkeley with her three children and dog Bonnie.
Services
Shop secondhand slow fashion through the Morningtide Loop-our curated selection of gently used independent designer brands created to encourage the investment in slow fashion brands, recycling, and sustainability. Morningtide is a super cute little popup filled with inventory created by independent designers.

So many of the items in the shop were adorable, most especially the hair clips by Nat + Noor. Although the prices felt ever so slightly high, in general they're actually on par with what's charged by the designers.

I would have loved to have seen some Nade Studios items, Madi Apparel, Friendsheep pieces, or just crocheted items in general, although it looks like their inventory changes often and sometimes they carry Babaa.

The service was super friendly during our visit and I'm excited

Cute little store. Emphasis on little. There's really no room for more than 2 people to comfortably browse around. But that's a blessing during the pandemic anyway. Came in specifically looking for @wilderbites dog treats. Thankfully they had them in stock cause wilderbites sells out online. They're dog friendly too so my dog was able to sniff out his favorite. We got the chicken necks.

I love this place. I spend an embarrassing amount of time on the internet and IG, during the pandemic because, well the pandemic.
This store came up on my IG feed and I enjoyed all their local items. I initially purchased some tea from Adjourn, Kin Folk. I love the products they feature.
The next time I bought an organic teal blanket. It reminds me of the muslin blankets you swaddle babies with, but for adults. I also bought a bell for the back yard, a scarf with a French bulldog design and a different Adjourn tea, that is blue when you drink it.
I'll continue to follow them and their cool

Wish I live closer to visit this super lovely place but feeling so lucky to had a chance to collaborate with them. So thankful to both ladies for trusting me and supporting my artworks, not once but twice. The place itself and the super women behind it are both so inspirational in many ways.

Beautiful store with gorgeously curated ceramics and other precious items. Unfortunately I don’t remember the girl’s name who was helping me but she was lovely and super helpful. Great vibes in this store!

SO BOMB. This store is an absolute gem in the neighborhood. I'm surprised there are not more cool stores like this on Solano actually. They have beautifully crafted ceramics, prints, clothing and more from local artists. I have 4 bowls that are from local arists and I use them almost every single day. They were pricey but are my favorite dishes in my house. I also use a perfume (rose and cedar oil) from the store, which is also a favorite.

If you are into artisanal pieces that are actually unique and well crafted, shop here. It's a bit off the high street, so you might miss it, but

Cute boutique, friendly staff, a bit pricey on some things but overall eclectic mix of things for your wardrobe, kitchen and home. Very unique items here and I'm thankful it's near my house in Berkeley. Only negative parking can be a pain but overall worth the circling to park.

The Albany Post Office is a perfectly nice post office. Still, I can't remember hearing anyone ever saying I can't wait to go to the post office, unless _maybe_ they were going there to pick up some great present. So, after I completed a long overdue task at the post office, without thinking I wandered into MorningTide. Books and wooden things along with ceramics caught my eye through the window.

Once inside you'll find clean, simple displays, nothing to overwhelm the senses. It's a place to take time to enjoy your surroundings. I can't remember the last time I picked

Just off Solano, you'll find a super cute curated store - shop local! - with a lovely and unique selection of ceramics, clothing, jewelry, art, children's items, and more. Do you need to get a gift for an artistic friend? Would you like to treat yourself to a little something special? Are you a supporter of shopping local, especially with friendly, helpful and tasteful shop owners? Well then, look no further.

I walked out of the store with a wooden stacking gift for my friend's baby which was made in Germany and only used safe dye to color the wood. For my new mom friend, I picked

As others have said, this shop has a nicely curated selection of wares from note cards to chocolates to wall art to ceramics to women's clothing. I happened on it when on my way to Time Masters from the parking lot behind the post office. I saw it first when I took my watch in to be fixed but got distracted and forgot to go in when on my way back to my car. Then last Friday I took a wall clock to Time Masters, only to discover them closed. This time I remembered to stop by Morningtide. It's small, but full of wonderful things. The owner was friendly and welcoming and admired my

What a treasure of a store! How nice to find this little gem of a place where every inch is full of lovely items for yourself or for gifting. It's inspiring just to be in there and you find yourself wishing you could buy one of everything. I bought darling hairclips for my kids and a sweet bowl, which I use it on my bed stand. It's perfect for my night creams and (gasp) retainer. I did end up regretting, however, leaving behind a print! I live in Seattle and am only in the Bay Area every few months. I called the shop and Lisa was so helpful. She knew the print and shipped it to my home

Reason for visit: Support local!
Visit date: September 5, 2017
First time? Yes!

Morningtide is a thoughtfully curated shop filled with unique, high-quality goods. Today was their soft opening and since I love local shops I had to visit on the first day to peruse and meet the owners. The shop is small but is packed with so much talent. Come in to treat yourself or find a fun gift for a loved one. There are women's clothing options, home goods, art, teas, chocolates, ceramics, soaps, and lots more. On this visit I snagged a box of QUIN caramels (my fave!). I can't wait to see the business
