Joel came the day I called him and gave me an estimate and a commitment to be there the next afternoon.
The crew arrived as promised and hit the ground ready to go. You had to be there to really appreciate the job. It was jammed in a corner between a pergola and the house and facing the neighbor's yard where the fence had collapsed in the last windstorm. The stump was huge, both wide and tall with massive roots running in several directions.

Called to get an estimate and joel came the very next morning. Maybe an hour after getting my quote his crew was out to remove the tree. The crew did a great job even covered the hole in where the trunk was removed, which I thought was great, since it was in the front yard and i was worried about getting it covered so no one would fall and sue. Doesn't even look like a tree existed there. Very good job!!

This is a business you can trust. I would use this again myself, and recommend it to others. A family member had two trees removed in a couple hours. The team of workman was so fast, knowledgeable, and experienced. They worked as a team and got it done swiftly and well. We were amazed by the skill of the man with the chainsaw in the tree, because the tree was being removed due to its leaning over the house. The branches food not hit the roof coming down, but one barely touched the porch light and it shattered. The owner, who was present the whole time, replaced it free of charge. It was a great

They raked cleaned hauled every thing and even came back to do a final walk thru from the owner to make sure everything was done to ours and his satisfaction I even saw him bend down and pick up a small stick the guys missed and put it in my trash. Who does that kind of service My yard looks better than when they arrived now that's service Thank you Joel for having such a high bar

Absolutely Incredible. We had 23 overgrown tall Queen Palms that were neglected for 3 years.
I called Joel's tree service to schedule an appointment for an estimate. He showed up on time and gave me a very reasonable price for our 23 palms.
We scheduled a date for the pruning and a large crew showed up right on time. They completed the job, then spent a couple hours cleaning up the entire yard. They even cleaned our pool of tree trimmings.
They were extremely professional and cautious not to drop anything in our neighbors yards. Our palms are now beautiful!!!

It's so hard to know if you're getting a fair estimate or if the work will be satisfactory....I saw an ad in the Modesto Bee for Joel's Tree Service and also read several favorable reviews online....I called and Joel came right out and gave an estimate....We had quite a bit of work to be done...He gave us a very fair estimate including a senior discount....His workers came out promptly and worked very hard all day and came back the next morning to finish up....They not only trimmed trees and took out a few, they also got on the roof and blew out all the gutters....Then everything

Referred by a neighbor. Joel returned my call within minutes. Joel made an appointment for a quote and was on time. Schedule to take down two trees was within one week. Crew arrived on time. One 40 foot tree was in a tight space. Climber took every piece down exactly where no damage to adjacent structures. Crew cleaned up nicely. Very satisfied with quote and service. Highly recommended.

Never had to use a tree service before, picked Joel's Tree Service from internet reviews on HomeAdvisor. Called and Joel arrived next day with a fair estimate to remove 3, 40 foot limbs from olive tree and other trimming of the tree. Workers arrived 2 days later as scheduled. Very hardworking, professional crew, no wasted time. Work area left very clean. Very pleased and will call for any future tree services.

The fact I have a crazy life prevents me from remembering to write reviews, especially positive reviews for businesses that provide EXCELLENT service.
I called Joel's Tree Service 2 years ago to remove dead trees that were about to fall down. Ended up having to remove about 7 of them, and Jim (the man you want to talk too) was super accommodating with my schedule and was far more personal than 2 other companies who came out, one which neighbors swear by. (fyi, don't trust your neighbors, get 3 bids and go with who shows up on time, and who is the most down to earth, not cocky, as price

We used Joel's Tree Service to take care of a fallen oak, remove a couple of stumps, and trim another tree in danger of doing some damage to the house in the future. We were very happy with the company! They were very professional, responsive, and went above and beyond our expectations. And the best part is that they gave us a fantastic price for the work!
Btw...prior to receiving this referral from a friend, we had called a big name tree company with lots of shiny trucks. After a couple of text exchanges, I have yet to hear back from the shiny truck company and that was 20 days ago

I contacted 5 tree services prior to finding Joel. 2 never responded to messages left, 2 gave absurd bids, and the service I had used for several years promised to do it "next week" and then never showed up. Joel gave me an exact day and time, reconfirmed the appointment, and showed up on time. The work was excellent and the cleanup meticulous.
I plan to use Joel's for all my tree work (I have a lot of trees) and

Very rude street boss and a liar too. I politely asked him to move his huge truck off my curb (here in Sacramento, we pay for these damages) and asked him to park in front of the neighbor whose trees he was servicing (who has a HUGE corner lot with lots of space.). He said ok. When I backed out of my driveway 15 or 20 minutes later, the truck was still there. When I asked him whether he was going to move his truck, he said he would. When I got home several hours later, the truck was still there. When he saw l was writing down the number and website, he came over and asked what the problem
