Richard Barnett, owner & founder of Rocky Mountain Motos is a long-time motorcycle adventurer, roadracer (4 decades!) and collector. He has explored all of the USA on bikes, including a ride up to Alaska's Arctic Ocean in 2017, and has ridden motos in over 40 countries. He has visited over 120 countries in all.
These motorcycles are everything the world of big beast ADV riding is not: farkle-free, air cooled, lightweight, simple, low-slung, steady. They encourage you to meander up trails to hidden lakes and streams and remote camp spots. The low seat height encourages riders of all statures, so you can bring along your SO.
The beautiful mountain town of Red Lodge, Montana is perfectly situated as a starting point for your adventure. Our friendly town is home to about 2,500 people, several great restaurants and bars, hotels, many outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking, fishing, white water rafting and more.
The 27th Annual Beartooth Rally and Iron Horse Rodeo is Montana's largest Motorcycle Rally and famous Iron Horse Rodeo! The Beartooth Rally located in the greater Yellowstone area hosts pristine views of mountains, wildlife and lakes. Charity benefits include the Boy and Girls Club of Carbon County and Operation Second Chance.
A: Our Himalayans are good for all-day highway cruising, but you shouldn't expect to be doing 75+. A good, comfortable cruising speed is 65 mph. If you're trying to make 500 miles a day, a big Harley or BMW is probably a better choice. If you're after country roads and gravel/dirt, the Himalayan is your bike.

We rented 3 KLR's for a week long trip and were very happy with the bikes and the entire rental experience. We had a couple questions during the ride and Richard was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend Rocky Mountain Motos. We will be back.

Rented KLR to explore Montana and Wyoming along with gear. They run a first class operation and provide exceptional value while sharing tips, routes and enthusiasm for adventure riding. My bike was ready for pickup and they delivered on everything promised plus a little extra. The Kawasaki felt like a new machine, was easy to ride and made me feel comfortable and confident in a rugged environment quickly. I was able to enjoy both highway and dirt/gravel roads with some rocks, creeks and up-hills. The saddle bags where big enough to hold my clothes, water and food for two days with out feeling heavy

We recently had a great 7 day trip to Montana in which a group of 4 guys and myself rented the Royal Enfield Himalayan. We travel approx. 1200 miles over the 7 days and had a great time. The bikes were perfect for all conditions. Our trip was made up of days on the Highway and days the bikes never saw asphalt. All of the bikes were set up very well, the side bags are perfect, and the optional items for rent are all great quality. We had to cut our trip short by a day due to the approaching hurricane at home (Florida) but Richard was very accommodating to make sure the bikes were returned and we

These bikes were great! Owner was very helpful, knowledgeable, and nice. We flew into Billings, rented a car and drove 1hr to Red Lodge. We left the rental car in nearby public parking and the owner picked us up and brought us to the bikes. We then rode the bikes up the Beartooth Pass near the northeast gate of Yellowstone. It was super cold and windy at the top. We then drove to Cody where we stayed the weekend and traveled to and from Yellowstone via the East entrance. The bikes were perfect for Yellowstone! A little slow on the highway because of the wind (60 mph instead of 70 mph), but really

Wow.. What a great trip!!! I rented a Himalayan for 4 days, blasted over the Beartooth Highway, camped in the canyon, and rode through Yellowstone Park.
I have traveled to India and these bikes are everywhere and I have always wanted to ride one. I was really surprised. They have plenty of power, and are blast to ride. The bikes are fitted with everything you need. Side bags, USB chargers, tank bags and 7/24 support if needed. Takes all the worry away.
It was so easy. I flew into Billings, Uber’ed to Red Lodge, got hooked up and was on my way. Red Lodge is something out of a magazine. I think

Short review: great location, great bikes, great service, great price.
Longer review: Red Lodge is just outside Yellowstone Park and Bear Tooth Pass. All kinds of pavement-free riding nearby as well. We took a three day loop to Ennis, 500 miles in all, of which 100 were gravel and dirt. Everything from paved twisties to easy gravel to dirt and mud, and scenery that made us stop and say, “Holy s#!t, is that gorgeous!!” every dozen miles.
The Royal Enfield is a great bike for this country. It will keep up with traffic, is lightweight and a hoot when the roads get twisty, and a tractor when
