Charlie, born in Brooklyn, New York and later raised in Queens and his wife, Shannon born and raised in Virginia both grew up in the restaurant world. His parents have owned restaurants in Queens, New York for over 40 years, while Shannon's grandparents owned a cafeteria in Portsmouth for over 20 years.
Charlie and Shannon both attribute their restaurant upbringing with their love and passion for culinary and serving others. After leaving New York and starting a family in Virginia Beach, Charlie noticed the lack of New York style cuisines. He wanted to bring that New York Style cuisine to Virginia Beach to share it with the community and give his family the experience he had growing up.

Disappointing. Over the past two years, basically since they opened, we’ve ordered from Brooklyn Pizza. It’s best described as hit or miss. It can be some of the best pizza ever had, or, as it was this past Friday night (1/14/22), old and stale garbage. Really speaks to the poor quality when you have less than one slice (too cruddy to even finish) and throw the rest in the trash. Guess it’s time to revisit Sal’s and some other competitors.

Pizza was not made fresh per my order. It was sitting there when we walked in and was reheated and arrived to the table black on the bottom and snapped like a cracker when I tried to fold a slice.
The creek salad was limp and old but the dressing was good. The seating is not comfortable and we couldn't wait to get out the door.
The young child waiting on us has a kind soul and tried her to make us comfortable so we could enjoy our meal !

I'm originally from NY and I was craving NY pizza. So me and my hubby came here for the first time and the moment I walked in it smelled like home. The server, (Ms. Sonya) greeted us very kindly and answered all of our questions about the menu. The owner also came and gave us a sample of one of the entrees which was delicious the sauce is amazing. When the pizza arrived i knew it was the real deal....super good and definitely a taste of my NY ❤️. I was so excited that I forgot to take a picture! 😋 We also ordered garlic knots which were the best we've tasted in all of Hampton Roads. I recommend

OMGosh this was absolutely unexpected. We walked over while waiting for car repairs figured we guest grab something to kill time. This place has a great vibe from entry, to ordering to departure. Very nice and comfortable environment.
I decided to try the meatballs hoagie, it was so good freshly made to order meatballs amazing sauce just outstanding. My daughter loved her pizza but begged to try the hoagie she was blown away and told me it was so good. We also grabbed a cannoli it was so good the filling was just so tasty.
This spot is hands down a win! Great spot if you just need some good food

The pizza was over cooked the crust on the bottom I had significant char. The cheese and sauce was at best applied thinly. The pepperoni was plentiful. Quite pricey for the food. Not really impressed. Would recommend you check your order prior to leaving the store. Once that happens your likely to not get much help.

Words cannot describe their Sicilian pizza. A perfect balance of all ingredients and dough to die for. Obviously prepared with great care by a staff that excels. I had their Pizza three times before I decided to write this review. (Didn't want to report on a fluke. This is no fluke!) If you want the best Sicilian pizza you can find Brooklyn Pizza is worth a trip from anywhere!

Excellent pizza! The flavor of the ingredients and the density of the crust have been consistent each time I have ordered here. Staff is very friendly, restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is definitely a good draw as well. Found this place on a whim and even though I don't live close I make the drive because good pizza is worth it!

It was edible... but I wasn't thrilled they forgot we were parked outside for curbside pickup.
We showed up, called, and they said they needed a couple of minutes. 30 minutes later, when we called to remind them, they placed us on hold for about 3 minutes, as we watched them shuffle around and look for our 2 boxes of pizza. They finally came out with them (never took us off hold) and I was so displeased to see the dried up/ partial burned order. I brought them home because, again, they were edible, and I was starving and had already waited an hour (after they told us to pick up at 6:40) to eat
