As the area's first Keystone 4-Star facility, Grandma's House Learning Center stands apart from other childcare options. With the longest hours in the area, our highly qualified staff is here when you need us most.

Our large open rooms provide your children with the space they need to grow and develop through our educationally-based curriculum. We provide hot meals and nutritious snacks, (including formula and baby food) at no additional charge, and offer transportation to all Burrell, Kiski Area, and Apollo-Ridge schools.
Services
Our infant room is for children ages 6 weeks - 1 year. Infants follow their own personalized schedules for meals and naps as designed by their parents. The number one priority for teachers in the infant room is giving each infant the one-on-one interaction, love, and attention needed for them to develop to their fullest!

When children are ready, they move from the infant room to the toddler room. Many developmental transitions begin in this room. Children begin to follow a more structured and educationally-based schedule. Many toddlers begin potty training with us at the request of their parents. New foods and activities are introduced, and children are given more time to develop social skills through peer interactions and play.
Educational opportunities abound as your preschool-aged child enters our Early Learners room! Our curriculum-based schedule helps children develop fundamental skills for kindergarten through a variety of activities centered around a weekly theme. We also work to further fine and gross motor skills, good behavior and manners, and appropriate social and emotional interactions with both peers and adults.
Your child's experience at Grandma's House doesn't have to end just because school has begun! We offer a variety of convenient services for school age children, including breakfast before catching the school bus, an afternoon snack after school, and the opportunity to participate in our Homework Club or tutoring program.

My son use to go here until I received a phone call from CYS saying there has been an incident with my son and one of the teachers there. Another teacher reported it and they got looked into. The incident happened 3 months before I was even told. The directors never told me UNTIL CYS got involved. They also never fired that worker, the put her in the kitchen and as clean up. My son still saw her until I could find another place for him to go. Once the police got involved they finally fired the girl. But the fact that the directors knew it happened and never told me makes me up set and I can not

My son has attended their free preschool this past year. I was soo reluctant to putting him in. Have been a stay-at-home the last 8 years and needed a part-time job. I have not regretted putting him in since he started (ok, minus the covid shutdowns but that is not there fault). My son is flourishing and enjoys going to preschool. The teachers & administrators are great! Thank you all for your hard work!

My children have been attending Grandma's House for a few years now. They have had wonderful care. The staff is very loving toward them and they have a lot of fun. They have learned many things and have come out of their shell. I am very pleased with the care and the facility. It's clean and the classrooms are huge. I love that they have a security system, it makes me feel my children are safe. I am so very happy that my children attend.
