Sharon's journey into cake artistry began as a second career after being a successful IT Project Manager for the Federal Government. She believes that in order to be the best you need to learn from the best so she attended the Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionery Arts in Toronto as well as studies with some of the great artist in the cake world, including her use of Sugar Flower Artistry from the industry best.

The Cake Courtesan began its journey as an award winning cupcake shop, and still to this day, make some of the the best cupcakes around. Creatively flavored and exquisitely decorated, we offer custom Cupcakes and Cupcake Towers as a viable dessert option for any type of celebration. From custom wrappers to monograms, figurines and floral toppers, we know that these little beauties will always be stylish.
We operate out of a fully licensed and Charles County Health Inspected Kitchen called nestled inside of Park Waldorf Plaza, directly behind Vocelli Pizza. 11850 Park Waldorf Lane, Suite 109. Parking is free and ample. Our Administration Hours are Monday - Friday from 10am -6pm to provide customer service, accommodate questions and assist with new orders.
