Love this little shop! I was in town to see a doctor and was looking for a place to pick up some plant based food. I was warmly welcomed by the staff when I walked in. I was asked a few times if I needed any help as I perused the aisles to see all the goodies they have. So many plant based options and many that I've never seen before. I ended up getting the oinkless BLT, a few vegan cookies from the bakery, and some other snacks. Everything was fantastic! I will definitely be back next week when I'm in town again. I truly love this place! They have a large variety of 'specialty' items to suit your needs. I enjoy their bulk section too, because I can grab smaller amounts of beans, flour, nuts etc for a recipe rather than buying a large bag. They have great customer service and yes their prices are slightly higher, but I enjoy shopping local when I can.

While Food Fantasies has a great selection of foods, their prices are prohibitively high. But y'all know that already. Some things are decently priced, like the bakery in the back and the bulk section.
But today is my last trip to FF for the duration of this pandemic unless major changes in health policy are made with the staff. No one wears a mask, no staff practices social distancing, they work in close proximity (inches!) of each other without any protective gear, and they openly wonder about the merits of social distancing. Staff will walk into your personal space when focused on another

F.F. won for being the best Health Food Store in Springfield?? News Flash people, F.F. is the ONLY health food store in Springfield for miles, not so much a win... WAY too pricey. Customer service is lacking in a big way. I suppose by being the only Health Food store, there is some entitlement. No Thnak you. I am pro buying local all day. But I'll pass on this one.

I'm so glad we have this amazing little shop here in Springfield. As a transition vegan, this place is a must have for me. The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful, and I can find vegan and organic options here if I can't find them anywhere else. I have never been disappointed in a visit here and shopping here makes me love grocery shopping. If you bring in your own containers for their bulk section they can remove the tare weight (container weight) so you aren't paying for your bag or jar. At Hy-Vee, they cannot do that so either you use their plastic or pay for your

Great Natural and Vegan Food Store Option!!! Over this past weekend a friend and I visited this store (he goes here often). I must say that I was very impressed with what they carried; in fact, I felt that they carried a lot more than most of the natural food stores in St. Louis. Not only did they have your typical Vegan items (e.g., Vegenaise (aka: Veganaise), Tofurkey, Uncle Eddie's, etc.), but they had local produce, vegan pizza dough (appeared as if they made it?), vegan baked goods

Love this place. Now that HyVee is here, I can get a lot of "alternative" things that I need from there, but I find myself here quite a bit too picking up random vegetarian meat alternatives and other things. Staff is friendly and they have lots of cool stuff that you can't find in your average grocery store.

Awesome! Kevita, Braggs ACV limeade, fresh organic produce, Jujube fruit, etc. etc. etc. I picked up the above with some Thai coconut curry hummus, an organic Gala apple, and a baby avocado. I wouldn't have expected to find such a selection in Springfield, IL. All my dream food in one spot, and very friendly, helpful staff.

Since we don't have a real health food grocery store Food Fantasies is our best shot and for a little health food store they do a nice job with a decent selection of supplements and real food.
We buy coconut oil, grass fed meats, fish oil and a few odds and ends when it strikes us. Glad they are here.

If you ever find yourself in Central Illinois and need to find Whole Foods type/Vegan foods, hold out until you make it to Food Fantasies in Springfield. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I even found some vegan "beef" jerky there and few other things I normally don't find at Whole Foods.
They make there own vegan desserts and it can be hit or miss. So far I've never been disappointed with the Boston Cream Cupcakes! There Herb with Flaxseed crackers are surprisely good! Don't be afraid to give Food Fantasies are try!

Little health/organic/vegan/specialty food and vitamin store. I get all my vitamins/suppliments here. A bit pricey on some items, but when you get great service like this you have to pay for it ~and that I don't mind. Has fresh organic and as much local products as they can. Frequent sales on vitamins/suppliments and good selection. If they don't have what you need, they order it without a problem. Hippie dippy vibe and funky friendly staff.

Food Fantasies is a wonderful, small health food store. Their staff is friendly and helpful. Their prices are higher than WalMart, of course, because they're locally owned with quality products.
I'm in FF at least twice a month to buy items I can't find anywhere else in Springfield. We have food sensitivities in our family and I can always count on FF to either carry the items I need or order them for us.
The owner is often in the store and can frequently be found chatting with customers in the aisles.

Small but decent selection of vegan foods. They do have some things I can't find at other stores (almond cheese). I have found that I can buy a lot of the stuff they carry at other stores in town and usually cheaper. I love to support local businesses but when something is twice as expensive here, I have a hard time buying it.

Thank goodness I found this store! If it weren't for F.F. I would be miserable in Springfield. They have the almond milk I like, agave nectar, *dairy-free chocolate chips that are ridiculously delicious*, Earth Balance vegan 'butter' and THE BEST HOMEMADE BREAD EVER. Try shopping for that stuff at Walmart. And when they have one particular item- for example the almond milk- there's an actual selection of it! Not just 1 flavor that you're stuck with. I do wish they had soy based cheddar 'cheese' slices and their prices are steep but I'd rather pay more

Being vegetarian/vegan in Springfield can definitely be tough. Thank goodness for Food Fantasies. On my most recent trip, I stopped @ FF twice to stock up on vegetarian friendly foods. They had everything that I could find back at home; their selection of foods is surprising. Organic local produce, bulk nuts, organic body care items, vegan pastries and breads, meat analogues and ethnic foods line the shelves. Staff are very friendly and prices are decent, slightly on the high side. A must for all vegans/vegetarians in Springfield.
