I’ll start off by saying that I’ve had less than great experiences with other local bike shops.
Shore Brake is the only bike shop in the area that I will let touch my bikes. I’ve had everything from minor to major repairs, purchased new bikes and parts, been sized for gear, etc. I can’t say anything but good things about Charlie and the rest of the crew.
They are always eager to help and prices are fair. Everything from beach cruisers to road and mountain bikes. Support local small business and look no further for a great bike shop. Also, there’s a chocolate lab to greet you at the

We went to Shore Brake Cyclery to get beach cruisers as Christmas presents from the grandparents for our kids. Charlie was awesome. He was helpful and patient. He let the kids “test drive” a bunch of bikes and each one ended up buying a bike! They are so happy with them. I would definitely recommend this shop for all your biking needs!

This was the 2nd time we used Shore Brake for bike repairs. This time, in addition to lubrication and adjustment, we needed the gear change controls/grips replaced. They diagnosed what was needed and performed the repair in a timely manner. The price was reasonable, hence the additional comment of "good value".

We had a great experience with Shore Brake Cyclery. First of all they set us up with a rental that was perfect for our needs. They also made a repair on and tuned up one of our bikes very quickly, and in the amount of time they estimated. They were very up front about how long things would take and the estimate was accurate.

Very happy with the speed and efficiency of the store. I brought 2 of my hybrid bikes in both of them had flat tires, rusted chains, and one needed a new seat. The next day we received a call that both bikes were ready. I was shocked with how quickly they were ready. The bikes looked great. They fixed and cleaned them up and now I’m ready to ride again. Thanks for your efforts

The team at Shore Break Cyclery was great. I brought my bike in for a tire repair and a tune up. The team was very helpful and completed everything in a couple of days. Amazing timing considering it’s the height of summer on LBI. The bike feels like new and the repair cost was very fair.
