RAC -The company that insists the customer should do the job for them.

This Albuquerque branch of the company has quite the grift going on. They take money as well as your possessions from other carriers while they pose as a delivery service and refuse to deliver, holding your possessions hostage and forcing you to come up with a plan to make your own delivery.

I've lived in the same house for over twenty years, and I've purchased many large items from furniture to appliances and beyond and RAC in Albuquerque is the only company that has ever failed to deliver a large item to my home

Terrible service. Took weeks to get our package from them and then they only delivered it to the end of our driveway and left it on the side of the highway with no notice to us at all! Terrible way to treat a customer. Don't use them if you can avoid it!

My combines broke down and I was desperate to receive my parts on Friday. I picked a window from 11 until one and which they didn't show up. I called them on Monday and they claimed again they were going to deliver it but didn't. On Tuesday I drove two hours to pick up my parts. After waiting for half an hour the skid loader driverSlam into my truck not once but twice because his tires were bald. He tried to blame it on the area that I parked which is where I was directed to. When I said don't blame your error on me he swore at me answer me whatever. I would never under any circumstances

I write this in the hope of preventing another person from hiring this company. I have moved/transported/shipped items hundreds of times in my life. I have never experienced anything as bad as this. I confirmed the pick-up of a 150 lb. crate twice during the week prior to pick-up date. We were 'scheduled' on pick-up day, but the crate wasn't picked up. We were promised a pick-up the next day, when we were again 'scheduled'. There was no pick-up. If the system would allow a 0, I would give them a 0. I purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot and was told the date it was to be delivered. It was not delivered. I was told it was because the shipment did not come on the truck but would be there 3 days later. Three days later, still no delivery. I called only to be told that the item must be on backorder because it was not delivered on their truck. I called HD and they had no knowledge of the dishwasher on backorder. Would give zero stars if it were possible.
RAC transport was to deliver bookcases I ordered from Costco.
4 promised delivery dates over at least 4 weeks before I received an actual delivery. No contact that delivery would not be made. No feedback from customer service as to why no delivery and when a new delivery date would be set up.
When bookcases were delivered, driver just showed up at my house even though requested to call ahead of time. Cases were left on a smashed pallet. One had multiple dents to back panel and frame.

When I called to convey this info, was transferred to claims department

This company is pathetic. They lost my hot tub cover in one of their warehouses and can't find it. Are you kidding me?? It's not a small package. They made my hot tub service provider file a claim for the missing cover. We had to re-order a new cover from the manufacturer which has a 6 week backlog.
RAC was supposed to notify the manufacturer that the cover was not delivered, but that didn't happen. POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! Would NOT recommend them to anyone!!!

What a disorganized bunch. They have no follow through. I have called two days in a row to see when my delivery would be scheduled. The first day, a nice guy said he would locate my shipment and call me back. Never did. 2nd day, nice lady said she'd call me back. Never did. This company lacks the organization necessary to provide good customer service and manages expectations very poorly.

Horrible service they left my freight 1 mile from my home and never notified me that they were doing that . They lost my freight twice in the warehouse . I dont know why anyone would use them .

Received a late call from a business next to ours saying RAC just dropped off a large pallet in front of their business without saying a word. He just piled the smashed pallet and my $4,000 crushed order in front of the door and left. The packing slip said call 1/2 hour before but the number was not mine nor was it a number given by the shipper. Of all the deliveries we have received I can't recall one positive experience.

My home Depot ordered snowblower was picked up by RAC Transport on Nov 10th 2020 (20 miles from me) and still not delivered to me as of Nov. 21st, 2020. No one answers the phone and no tracking number emailed. Finally Home Depot was forced to refund my money and declare the shipment "lost". Home Depot should know better and now everyone reading these reviews does

Horrific rude employee Lisa has no respect for customers time or the fact that due to covid some people dont feel comfortable signing something and would prefer an alternative to close contact. Additionally, I have to work from home and clearly explained I could not be interrupted during my workday and asked for a contingency to leave the items in my driveway since they were prepaid and had my authorization. They scheduled a delivery. I drove an hour to the house (I don't live there, we are in the process of moving). Sat at the house for 10 hours. No one called (they were supposed to call when 45 minutes out). I finally gave up at 7pm and drove the hour home in the dark through crappy weather. This am I called and was told the driver couldn't make it to my house. This is the WORST shipping company ever. Sent out an 8,000 pound package and sent it out 2 weeks early to make sure it got to the customer on time. Not only has it not gotten there they picked the package up 4 days late. Been on the phone for over an hour trying to get on the phone with the corporate office and still nothing. We have been on the phone with multiple people none of them knowing where our package is. ONCE AGAIN DO NOT USE THEM!

I have had the misfortune of having to deal with this company twice in the last couple of months, because the places I bought the items from used them to transport the merchandise. The first time I waited and waited, and finally contacted the company I purchased the item from, and was told that it was supposed to be delivered by RAC. When I called them to find out where it was, they told me that didn't have my complete address. First off, why not? I've had a lot of experience with this company in the last 17 years ... they always disappoint. They never bring the right truck the first time - they always need to come twice because large trucks cannot drive in our neighborhood - and items are always late. The truckers have gotten stuck in our neighborhood and needed to be towed out.
When scheduling a delivery the company should ask if a semi-truck can deliver in the area. There are enough mountain properties in Colorado that they should know this.
