Core Pilates
Core Pilates is Anchorage's premier Pilates studio. Whether you are new to Pilates or a professional athlete, Core's state-of-the-art facility is certain to have something to meet your fitness needs. Our goal is to get you moving on your very first visit. We specialize in the STOTT PILATES method, a contemporary approach to Pilates, emphasizing toning, flexibility, alignment and strength building.

Core offers a full spectrum of Pilates classes including STOTT PILATES Reformer, Pilates Circuit, Barre Pilates, Matwork, Jumpboard, TRX and ZEN*GA (a blend of Pilates and Yoga). We offer group, private, or semi-private (duet) sessions. Introduction/Refresher to Pilates Session-We offer a discounted hour long one-on-one Introduction to Pilates Session for new clients and for those that could use a refresher.

Created by Joseph Pilates as a rehabilitation technique for injured WWI soldiers, Pilates is a unique form of exercise that is extremely effective at building core strength, muscle tone, balance, range of motion and flexibility-many of which are often overlooked and ignored during the typical fitness regimes such as running, weight lifting, and most sports.
Therapeutic and sports massage are a vital part of a healthy exercise regime, and are an excellent complement to your Pilates workouts. Massage can be as important as exercise itself and therefore should be incorporated whenever possible. Massage is an effective, proven method to help your body manage stress, alleviate pain, recover from injuries and over-use issues, manage scar tissue, and control high blood pressure.
We'll take you through the basics, introduce you to the equipment, get you moving, and recommend which classes will suit your level. Clients must cancel group class reservations a minimum of two (2) hours prior to class start time, more time is preferred. If clients do not cancel in time they will be charged a fee or forfeit a session.

I have never experienced such quick results from exercise classes. I love going to this studio! So far I have had 3 instructors and they were all great. JJ was my favorite. I also really like the reformer classes. I took a TRX class (intense!) and a Barre class, and they were all great. I bought a shirt last night that was the smallest size I have fit into since high school, just because I'm losing inches around my waist and belly. Thank the Gods! ;). I would recommend this studio to anyone who is committed to doing some serious core work. :)

This place is absolutely amazing, words cannot truly describe how wonderful this establishment is. Elizel is hands down one of the best instructors I have ever had in my life! I would say this place is like heaven (if heaven included dripping in sweat and a sore body for days after, and I mean that in the absolute best way possible! :P) I started off with the Barre class and now do both Barre and the Mat Reformer class. Both classes, and other classes they offer are suitable for just about anyone. If you try your best and push yourself - you will see results, fast! I tell everyone I know how much

Awesome Pilates Studio! Variety of classes to meet your needs (reformer,barre,circuit, TRX, mat, jump board, core fitness). From beginner to expert, each instructor will assist you at your level offering multiple options and group & individual instruction with encouragement throughout the class. Wonderful friendly experienced staff who obviously enjoy helping you to obtain your goals. Even your fellow participants help you out, lend moral support, and welcome newcomers.
