Didn't find many items like Desi dahi, kolam rice, frozen chutneys, and other things. Frozen dhokla and other things were way past the expiry date. The person at the cash counter wasn't paying attention and didn't answer the phone call properly. They are trying to keep middle eastern and other grocery but don't have a good stock of Indian products.

I'm disappointed this store can't manage to have the staff wear masks (over their mouth and nose as opposed to on the chin.) Today I went in for the third and last time to find the clerk without a mask. The last two times I emailed to express my concern, and I got an encouraging reply. But apparently no change in mask use. I'm sad--I like shopping there. But inconsistent mask use is not safe for clients and staff.

I went to Little India because my favorite Indian grocery store, Spice Bazaar, was closed for the day. Admittedly, I was able to get what I needed and their prices are fine. Not great, but fine. The problem I had was mainly the person working there. They weren't rude, but they were definitely not even getting close to friendly. They also not only did not have a sign asking patrons to wear masks (as is currently the law) but the employee working was not wearing a mask either. He did not even attempt to correct it. He went into the back a couple times while I was shopping and, at no time did

I purchased 7 items out of which four items were expired. I was able to return two items and get a refund; However today i opened a snack pack and it was dated 2018; The neem powder had no manufacturing date at all. I do not have the energy to visit the store again to return those two items; I blame myself for visiting this store and also for not checking the manufacturing date.

Great local Durham Indian grocery store! They have all the spices You would need as well as some fresh produce as well. I especially like the fact that they had goat and lamb meats there in their freezer. these type of meats are sometimes hard to come by so I like the fact that this place is local and when I make meals such as Curry goat or stewed lamb that this is a place where I can purchase those type of meats.

Very well-stocked for the space available, albeit with somewhat narrow aisles. I'm a tiny man so it wasn't an issue for me, but I can see it being a problem for some of my broader/taller/larger friends. It's not as extensively stocked as the Patel Brothers store in Cary, but that one's kind of far for Durham, and it has more non-edible goods (cooking implements, religious symbols, etc.).
I also appreciated that the woman at the cash register did not try to engage me in conversation, either when I entered or checked out. In the American South this is generally considered rude

I like it since it is right by my house. However I did knock off one star because the last time I went in, tonight, they lacked the Lays Masala flavored chips which is a STAPLE in all indian grocery stores. While they are always nice to me, I was sad because the lady directed me to another brand of "masala chips" which essentially made me gag, and I'm Indian!
I do, however, like the prices. They seem fair, and the produce looks fresh. I do like that they also carry meat. I accidentally bought chicken, but apparently it is halal and comes from a local farm? I don't know, it

As well as the other review by Cristina, I discovered this place on my way into twisted noodles. It's a little Indian market, with about 4 rows of standard Indian spices, sauces, sweets, etc. I was stoked to see guavas in the veggie section, and all the produce was soooo much cheaper than standard grocery stores. Some of the green peppers and whatnot looked a little old but it's all natural stuff. I picked up some sauces and slices for my cooking, as well as some curry leaves and Thai peppers. The fresh samosas were decent enough when I heated them up at home. I will definitely be back

Right next to our favorite triangle Thai eatery, Twisted Noodles, we found Little India, a small Indian grocery. This place is the smallest of the Indian grocers that we've visited in the triangle.
The windows outside are covered with advertisements for cans of Rasmalai and hand made signs for dosa batter.
Inside, you'll find the usual fare. There's a small freezer with kulfi. Lots of dal and flours, spices, snacks and sweets. They have freezers midway back with frozen breads: naan, roti, porotta, appam, and idli. A few isles in the center have canned goods like coconut milk, pickles
