Gold Cup offers a highly qualified and decorated competitive girl's program. We have competitve gymnasts from Level 3 thru Elite. Our compulsory and optional girls received first place at all levels in the State Championships 2013, 2014, and 2015. Our optional team program is highly competitve in the state of New Mexico and the United States.
This is a fun class designed for kids ages 18 months -3 and is a great opportunity for Mom or Dad to have quality time with their child while they are learning important developmental and gymnastics skills. 2 1/2-31/2 year olds are taught basic life skills like following directions and taking turns.
At Gold Cup, we offer the TOPS program for our gymnasts. The girls typically practice 2 mornings a week and focus on the required strength and flexibility skills for this program. TOPs (Talent Opportunity Program), is a talent search and educational program for female gymnasts ages 7-10 and their coaches.
Our compulsory teams, Level 4 - Level 7, follow the reccomendation of the governing body of our sport, USA Gymnastics; all of the Gold Cup instructors are safety certified and professional coaches with USA Gymnastics. The compulsory teams train in the East Gym here at Gold Cup weekly from 6 - 14 hours/week and represent Gold Cup throughout the competitive season (Dec-May) at local and some out of town gymnastics meets.

My family and I love this gym. Best decision we made was putting our girls in gymnastics at gold cup. The coaching staff is amazing the owner is amazing. It has been an overall wonderful experience for us. The girls love their coaches, and watching their hard work pay off makes it all worth it. Thank you all of the coaches for taking your time with my babies, and for helping Janessa pursue her dream as a gymnast. We definitely recommend going to gold cup if you want loving hard working coaches who not only cares about your child, but pushes them to be the best they can be.

I have 3 small children attending. The girls often complained about how easy the classes were. The boys classes seemed more challenging. Overcrowded waiting areas, somewhat disorganized with scheduling and big parking problem are the main reasons for the 3 star rating. The staff is friendly and nice.

The beginners level is fine but high school tumbling a joke!!!! Coach is unprofessional and clearly there for her regulars who are advanced. If you're new to tumbling find another gym. My daughter left defeated and to top it off the coach was making fun of her. These are supposed to be professionals, well they are anything but. I will be pulling my 6 year old as well and take my money and kids somewhere else. Wish I could rate this a 0.

I almost can't believe all the bad reviews that Gold Cup is getting. Are you even talking about the right gym? I am a 14 year-old gymnast in the level 4 competitive team and I love the time I spent there. I absolutely love the staff, and the coaches. The coaches are supposed to give your child constructive criticism to help make them better. Them being so strict helps us do better in meets and to do better overall. But I do have to admit the seating area is a little uncomfortable. When I first moved to NM I went to SAGA but left after I felt like they didn't push me hard enough. And when I got

I also can't believe the negative comments mentioned, but after reading on these people have no clue. First off if you've been to most gyms in town parking is always an issue ( sorry you can't always have up front parking) and the majority have bleachers, enough of the pitty stuff.
We started our daughter at another gym and you'll get a good start at any gyms in town they are all great. But we were looking for that extra edge for our daughter and Gold Cup was that gym. We were reluctant at first because of the "rumors" we always heard from parents and such, so we decided to find out for ourselves

This is a wonderful gym family. We had the pleasure of being stationed here for a year before the military moved us on. During that year, we had three girls on team so that meant they were able to work with most of their coaches. Burch and his team were caring, dedicated, and just great at coaching gymnastics. We would come back in a heartbeat.

We moved to Gold Cup Gymnastics March 2016 because they were the only gym in Albuquerque to offer the TOPS program. It was one of the smartest choices we made for our daughter. Her overall technique, form and confidence blossomed and her coaches are amazing. She loves her teammates and her coaches but most of all she loves being challenged. I would recommend anyone who wants the best gymnastics coaching to give Gold Cup a call, you'll be happy you did.

My little one lasted a month. Kept complaining that the coaching staff is harsh. I get it, they use a strict demeanor to establish excellence. I'd say your child has to have that driven-athlete mindset and the maturity for this place. It's great if you're wanting a gymnast, but for a little one just starting out maybe not. Like the previous commentor, the gym does not cater to parents sticking around to watch once class begins bc the reception area is quite tiny for the business they do & the parking lot is a mess. Great for the serious, mature, & driven athlete though. Also stringent cancellation
