Owner/Operator Nicholas Carlson is no stranger to the trees of this bioregion. Nick is a third generation tree worker continuing a family business started by his grandfather in Northern Wisconsin.
Nick can remember watching both his grandfather, Ed, and father, Dennis, climbing high into hard-to-reach trees, expertly rigging complete trees down to the ground piece by piece for removal, and maintaining customers' ornamental trees with timely and regular pruning services.Naturally, Nick found himself drawn to the same line of work and followed in their footsteps.

Our team has fresh and ongoing day-to-day experience, as well as the technical know-how to safely rig almost any "problem tree" to the ground.
Whether you need large piles of brush removed or heavy wood moved off of your property, we can perform those services for you. Wood chips and firewood are always offered first to you, our customer. If you prefer to have the mulched debris and wood hauled off site, Carlson Tree Service will arrange to give it away to locals who can put it to good use.
The right tree care can make all the difference. Much like blood pressure and temperature are the common vitals used to determine the basic health of humans, we like to start with a soil sample to help us identify soil deficiencies. Once we've determined whether your trees are adequately nourished, we can more easily identify other reasons for decline.

Nick Carlson and his team completed full day of tree work for Crystal Ridge Condominiums. They are hands down, THE BEST, tree team we've engaged here in Benzonia. We have nicknamed them the "diamond cutters of the tree world." Nick and Travis provided us with a great walkabout and discussion in planning the work. They gave us a very reasonable quote. They showed up on the scheduled day and even worked through a light rain. We had them doing everything from removals to shaping ornamentals. They cleaned up all debris even raking or scooping up the tiny s tuff. We could not be any happier with all
