Services
At LifeCare Medical Center, we believe it is a privilege to serve the health care needs of our communities here in northern Minnesota. We take great pride in our compassionate staff, dedicated physicians and modern facilities. Our LifeCare facilities include a 25-bed, critical access hospital, LifeCare Roseau Manor and LifeCare Greenbush Manor, LifeCare Rehabilitation Services, in addition to LifeCare Home Care and Hospice.
In less than 100 years, healthcare in northern Minnesota has grown from a small pioneer doctor's office to a state-of-the-art health care campus offering care to the people of Roseau County and the surrounding area. Hospital care in Roseau started with the efforts of pioneer nurse Marie Budd. Mrs. Budd had just graduated from medical training when she and her husband arrived in Roseau in 1911.
LifeCare Medical Center takes pride in providing quality health care for you and our community. To assist patients in meeting their financial obligations, a LifeCare patient account representative will submit your bill to your insurance carrier. You will be responsible to pay any amount not paid by your insurance company.
LifeCare Medical Center employs more than 450 people throughout Roseau County. We take great pride in the excellent care we give to our patients and our facilities, along with the respect our staff has for the members of our community, colleagues, and the organization. LifeCare Medical Center has adopted standards of behavior for both our customers and for each other.
LifeCare Medical Center's board of directors is comprised of community members from throughout Roseau County who have a passion for healthcare now and in the future. This progressive board is responsible for the strategic direction of LifeCare Medical Center. They approve major policies, transactions, programs and services.

Generally great care; so thankful to have this hospital in our remote area. Sadly we do need to go to Grand Forks or further for many types of care. But they are professional and caring, the staff is local - our neighbors. Sorta expensive compared to similar procedures in other facilities would be my biggest negative, but I guess that might be the price of having their service in a remote area.

Doctor was rude, and didn't listen and nurse took temperature with out the even touching the skin, hard to determine a fever or not taking it that way.

This hospital does not call you back, does not schedule needed procedures its a fight to get any medical attention.
the ER is a joke, they do not take anybodys life seriously. their biggest concern is running mulitipal unneeded tests IMO to pad their bill.
they will refuse to see people even for life threatening issues..

The ER specifically will charge you for things they don’t even do, they are very disrespectful, and their only goal is get you back out the door instead of treating you. Even in serious cases like miscarriages the staff are very cold and bitter. My wife got religiously chastized by a nurse when we were their and we aren’t religious by any means. I could go on and on about how many terrible experiences I’ve had their.

Some of the staff really want to help you and take the time to exam you and listen to your issues while others try to get u in and out like u are cattle. Need more than just one Doctor of Internal Medicine for the entire hospital.
They receive your medical files but dont download them in the system for the doctors to review to see your medical and family history.
They are decent but have great areas of improvement

You have a CNA who is sharing some pretty sick stuff. Do you want to be represented by a guy who gets off on beheading fantasies?

LifeCare was a great place to have our baby. All of the doctors were great (Dr. Anokwute, Dr. Brummer, and Dr. VanDeWege). Most of our experience was great. Another surgery shortly after having our baby also went very well and Dr. Khan was great. All experiences here have been positive.

The hospital is decent. With competent ER doctors. They have a good level of medical knowledge and can stabilize you to get you to a larger Hospital. Stay away from the clinic next door.

I had my baby here and the staff was amazing. My baby and I were well takin care of very informed before being sent home. The doctors and nurses are very educated and are very capable to care for the public. The biggest thing Lifecare stresses to strive for is great customer service. I recommend Lifecare for sure.

This hospital is the worse place to go for any medical help as the nurses and doctors should not be licensed to work in a hospital or any type of human care. Myself and many others I know have had nothing but disrespect, non treatment for severe medical issues and kicked out the door. In fact, last year I was ambulanced to their ER for a severe crippling migraine and two hours later the nurse threw me in a wheelchair and pushed me out the front door, not before almost breaking my leg as it was caught underneath the wheelchair while she pushed me out without being able to see or had no way home
