Southern AgCredit is a full-service, locally owned cooperative lender that specializes in helping people like you buy and enjoy land in the country. This land is often used for agriculture, such as crop, cattle and poultry farming as well as timberland and other uses related to agribusiness and recreation.
Unlike most other lenders, Southern AgCredit was founded specifically to serve the agricultural industry within our territory. Like other farm credit organizations, ours is structured as a borrower-owned lending cooperative - which means that our borrowers receive a share of ownership in our organization.
The Southern AgCredit Board of Directors is composed of ten members. Eight directors are customers of Southern AgCredit and are elected by the rest of the voting membership to represent the geographic regions that comprise the association's operating territory. Two directors are elected by the other members of the board and cannot be customers, stockholders, employees or agents of any Farm Credit institution.

I've participated in nearly a dozen real estate transactions in Mississippi (as a non resident) over the last several years. A 1/2 dozen times I've utilized Southern Ag Credit as my lender. I must say, they make it easy. If there's a more professional, helpful, efficient lending institution out there, I haven't found it! Borrowing relatively large amounts of money us stressful enough, its nice to know you have a lender that properly managing the details, thus lowering that stress.
