Services
We are driven because it's not just about providing housing, we are providing each resident a home. We started as a small property management company out of necessity. In 1988, Dale and Harriet Jones, founders of D.W. Jones, Inc., owned two USDA Rural Development properties being managed by an outside company who wasn't meeting the expectations they envisioned for their residents and the properties.
The are no full-time office or agent employment options at this time, but we are often hiring part-time and full-time caretaker positions, see below for additional options. D.W. Jones Management, Inc manages properties in cities that provide a variety of supportive housing for households experiencing homelessness. What is homelessness? It is a household lacking a permanent place to live that is fit for human habitation. Means a project that has as its purpose facilitating the movement of homeless individuals and families to permanent housing within a reasonable amount of time (usually 24 months).
Rent is due on or before the 1st of the month. Rent is considered late and will be charged a late fee if it is not postmarked by the 5th of the month. Contact the office immediately to make arrangements or find out if there are any services that you may be able to use.
Please remember you are living in a multifamily environment and complete silence is not to be expected, but we do ask that all tenants and their guests keep the noise to an acceptable level.Please respect your neighbors privacy and possessions. My Father and myself take care of a Family member that has some challenging issues at times. Chad (who is based out of Walker) went above and beyond to assist with questions and concerns we had at a trying time, we also had wonderful help with Tammy (spelling, who is based out of Grand Rapids) along with Jen who manages the complex our Family member resides in, everyone listed above was extremely compassionate and patient with our concerns and went above and beyond their already daily duties to help us. I lived at Runestone Manor in Alexandria, MN from 3/13/2015 until 5/31/2015.
I was renting a two bedroom apartment.
I believe that this is a great place to live if you’re over the age of 65. If you’re in your 20’s as a single person or if you have a significant other, forget it.
When I moved into this property, I stressed multiple times that I required a quiet atmosphere as I work from home for a multi-national hardware/software company. Libby promised that she was the “guard dog” and will address any concerns that I had. So, fast forward

I seriously love living in my townhouse. I put my free pre-application in online and was offered the unit around 4 months later. The kids and I are so grateful for the amazing help given from both the caretakers and the office staff. The townhouses are right in our budget and the kids have so many friends to play with. There has been a few things that needed repair and they have been right on top of getting things fixed. I would absolutely recommend DW Jones to anyone looking to rent in the area. (Brainerd, MN)

So let's break this down a bit. DW Jones is a terrible management company. All townhomes are poorly builts, my third and fourth bedrooms have bearly no insulation and after 12 years of complaining about it, they've done absolutely nothing.
Maple Court has become more and more garbage as time's gone on. We used to have decent Property managers and resident-landlords as of late they've been attempting to find any reason to start evicting people. On our violation we had "Dirty Lightswitches" as a violation. Because one had a finger print. A violation for someone staying here for less than a week

My daughter rented from here in Crookston, Minn. She moved out after her lease was up, didn't owe anything, I even talked to the manager and he said everything was good. Now they are saying she owes 1800.00 but won't tell her for what. She didn't owe anything. Now it's in collections and she just found out today. Now she is having a hard time getting another apartment because of it. I told her to take them to court

I moved into Runestone Manor in Alexandria, MN when it was first opened in 2013. The housing market in the area is pretty competitive and I have to say this is was my favorite since the first time it was shown to me in August. Being a younger and single person moving into the area with no family or friends around, it was someplace I felt at home right away.
The natural light and size of the apartments (as well as the amenities available) still make it one of the nicer places to rent in the area. The units with balconies facing the center area/garden are the best, there is a playground nearby and

Horrible company. Leased for a year in Ironton, then was told we were month to month. Stayed about 4 years. These townhouses are extremely poor built. My son could sleep in his room because of insects crawling under the wall from outside and cold air blowing in the winter. Told,the care taker numerous times and DW Jones did nothing. Dryer vent kept falling apart, Told them for 3 years and nothing was done. Called before I chose a closing date on the house I was buying and asked about giving my 30 day notice to vacate. They said that's fine, just send us an email. The month goes by I close on my
