Three Rivers Treatment Center in Kenbridge, VA provides treatment programs to teenagers aged 11 to 17 who are experiencing long term behavioral health issues. Three Rivers Treatment Center is a family-driven and youth-guided diagnostic and treatment service provider helping teenagers receive proper healing.
Our facility is led by a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, who guides an interdisciplinary team of providers. We aim to help male and female adolescents who require a structured, therapeutic short-term residential treatment in our facility. Our program is focused on helping the resident and family heal and learn the skills they need to be able to return to the community successfully.

Services
Three Rivers Treatment Center offers programming and treatment services done in an active and encouraging environment. Each program is tailored to fit the patient's unique needs. The treatment interventions are designed to build upon the patients' strengths. The primary goal of these interventions is to prepare them for a successful integration back to society after getting discharged from our facility.
Three Rivers Treatment Center believes that the youth can drive their treatment with the support and guidance of our qualified professionals and their families support. We offer treatment that focuses on sustainable change and healthy balance living. We truly practice trauma informed care through evidence based therapy including EMDR.
Three Rivers Treatment Center is a licensed level C residential facility to treat males and females ages 11 to 17. We encourage the residents and their loved ones to be active in the healing process as this will promote better treatment and life after recovery. Our residential placement programs are designed to help adolescents who are dealing with behavioral problems.
Three Rivers Treatment Center lets patients attend the Three Rivers Academy during their stay year-round. We offer educational services taught by licensed and certified teachers for both patients and their loved ones to participate in. We employ a principal who directly oversees our academic programs and educational staff.
At Three Rivers Treatment Center we believe in creating a relaxed but knowledgeable environment in order to allow our patients the opportunity to work toward healthy breakthroughs with our doctors and staff. Our staff stays up-to-date with contemporary developments in diagnosis and treatment in order to ensure that they are always treating our patients in the most effective method possible.

I would rate this 0 stars but it made me at least do 1. It was the worst experience of my entire life, staff treated kids like they had no feelings and did whatever they wanted with them. I stayed for 9-10 months and I never learned anything that was beneficial. It just made me worse. The school there teaches you nothing, and I'm sorry for the people who actually went there to learn and get better cause that's not what that place does to you. I would encourage every parent and child to seriously reconsider going there. It's a very aggressive, traumatizing and dictative place. I would never recommend

I have to sayi was worried about sending my son here. My son was at another place before three rivers. He never really opened up he knew what to do to get out but once he came home he went back to his old ways After being at three rivers my son has opened up he took the program seriously with the help of the staff at three river. He seems much happier and has learned to open up with family members The staff don’t just treat the kids as a paycheck they care for the kids well being. I would highly recommend three rivers

This place was a detriment to my mental health. The staff are completely unprofessional and do not protect or look out for the residents.
The therapists at this facility abuse their power and treat their patients like garbage, and broke HIPAA multiple times throughout my stay. (Mr. Ryan specifically)
While I was there, a friend of mine I made at the facility was locked into a room with the two lead therapists, and was made fun of for his mental health until he was crying and begging to leave. Barely any of my therapy situations were actually about my mental health. Most of the time, all Mr. Ryan

If i could give a zero i would. My son has up until last week been fighting and damaging property. I informed them he has trends of behaving for a few weeks then act out. He was supposed to have a mental health exam and his meds are not even stabalized. They are releasing him early evem though i have 4 young children and his history. Do not waste money on this place they do nothing in providding treatment. They will be held responsible if an issue occurs

My Wife and I were completely impressed and blown away by the entire process of admission, the facility and staff at 3 Rivers.
The Staff was extremely professional, gracious, and comforting.
The facility was top notch, the structured program is exactly what we need for our situation.
Regardless of the final outcome of the treatment, (yet to be determined) the initial process , facility, staff and program filled us with hope, ease, and knowing we made the right choice for our needs. Highly recommend
