Established in 1993 as a family oriented dance studio with a goal to provide a fun, friendly and safe learning environment. We limit our class size to maximize the learning experience. We are proud to say we work with all ages and abilities. Our studio is known for our high quality teachers who are gentle and encouraging, yet provide quality training.
We offer weekly classes that fit with a typical school schedule. Our classes begin in September and end in May with an annual recital in June. This recital offers the opportunity for students to showcase to their family and friends what they have learned throughout the year. We also offer summer classes that begin in June and end in August.

I danced at Kay’s for 6 years, all of them being part of their performing team, Dancers in Motion. Coming from a competitive studio, I cannot express how different the dynamic was. The songs at Kay’s were clean, the costumes were modest (in the sense that no stomachs were showing) and the overall environment was welcoming. My dance teachers became my friends and role models. Dancers in Motion (DIM) allowed me to perform at extremely fun venues and make some lifelong friends. I highly recommend this studio to any family.

We are leaving Kay's Academy of Dance after FIVE years. We were "family" for five years. Kay's chose money over safety during COVID when deciding to run their recital. When science, the CDC, and county advised against gatherings of more than 100, they planned seven recitals over three days to have a "reduced" number of people- 3500 people! They were reckless, even refusing to answer whether or not people would be required or even recommended to wear masks. They lied to families who chose not to attend the recital- I have my emails and those of other parents that do not match from email to email

Kay's Academy has nothing but the best interests of their dancers' health (mental and physical) in mind. They have always treated their dancers with respect and continued to do so despite the pandemic. They found a way to safely allow the dancers to showcase what they worked so hard towards at the same time as safely allowing families to view the… performances. At no point did I feel myself or my dancer unsafe. There were no crowds and spectators were limited to allow for distanced seating. I greatly appreciate all of their hard work and highly recommend the studio.

We will not return to after being with them for more than 5 years. They do not value all their dancers as they have said they do. During the COVID shutdown they planned for seven recitals that would have up to 500 people in attendance INDOORS. This went against science, the CDC, and the county health department. Even masks… and social distancing were optional. They were careless and showed that money (which we would have gladly paid) meant more to them than the safety of their families. Absolutely shocking and unacceptable. After we raised our concerns to them privately, Kay wouldn't even

We love how Kay’s staff pays attention to each child’s individual strengths and gives them encouragement as they are in class, on the stage, and when seen in the community.
Kay’s has done an amazing job at working with families during the COVID crisis. They have made it very clear that they want YOU to make the best decision for your family. The recital was rescheduled and people were only able to receive limited number of tickets to ensure that people could attend by sitting every other row and with seats between different family groupings. It was beautifully done!
