People often ask, "How did you get into lighting?" I think most people expect an answer that revolves around a fascination with lighting and electricity at an early age. However, that cannot be further from the truth in my case. The real answer involves a lot of chance, faith and being in the right place at the right time, but it all started on one particular day.
I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was overcome by feelings of sadness and later anger. Coming from a family with a strong military background, I felt a calling or sense of duty to stand up and fight for those who never had a chance to fight back on that fateful day. Within a year, I had my personal business and finances in order and at the age of 28, I left for Army Basic Training.

I had a problem with my outdoor lighting that was going to severely mess up my weekend plans. I called Parkhurst to help. They were AMAZING!! Not only did they fix the outdoor lighting, they thoroughly inspected the whole system (soup to nuts), changed bulbs, and made recommendations that made sense for keeping my outdoor lighting efficient and beautiful! I could not express enough how grateful I am for their stellar above and beyond service!! Highly highly recommend Gary and his team!

I highly recommend Gary and Parkhurst Outdoor Lighting! We contacted Parkhust based on their great online reviews and because they’re veteran owned. Holly came out one afternoon to show us the types of fixtures they have and give us a quote. After speaking with her we determined that we’d like to see a demo. Although we didn’t schedule it she went out of her way to go back to their shop to retrieve the demo lights and came back to do the demo. We were sold on the quality of the fixtures and their customer service. Within a week we had our new outdoor lighting replaced and are very pleased. The fact that they offer a military discount was a bonus
