I drove from Crystal lake to Rockford and bought a prime rib roast from countryside meat and deli for my Christmas Day dinner. Best decision I made. It was so delicious. Jarrod, cut the roast fresh for me. He also gave me seasoning and some cooking directions. Thank you countryside. You made our Christmas a memorable one.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Countryside! They recently catered our wedding for 150 people. The planning process was very easy (including 2 COVID related reschedules) and everyone enjoyed the food! Great selection, easy to work with, and very reasonably priced. Thank you Julie and team!!

Hi, I'm John d.and I could not be more impressed. I am disabled and need a transport chair to get around... Made a trip to Countryside and all my expectations were exceeded. Friendly and patient, for sure. Top quality, amazing selection. A modern, clean facility, with that neighborhood, family business feel. They understand and take customer service to a highest standard. I was like a kid in a candy shop, treated like family. I was on the hunt for a Chicago style corned beef sandwich in Rockford. Yelp's #1 pick was Countryside Meats & Deli. Well, Yelp, you missed the mark on that one, but Countryside is great for other things.
First of all, I tried the corned beef sandwich. It tasted like a corned beef sandwich I could make at home, and not in a good way. All the ingredients were fresh and appropriate but there was nothing that would make me want to leave my house and purchase the sandwich. It also wasnt Chicago style, but that's probably not relevant to most people reading the reviews.

I have had nothing but great experiences at Countryside. Knowledgable and friendly staff. The meats are of exceptional quality. My family can always tell when I have cooked with meats from Countryside. They love it! I shopped around for something as simple as ground round and found countryside to be higher quality and much cheaper priced than the surrounding Schnucks stores. $1.50/ pound cheaper and $2.50/ pound if buying 5 pounds or more. That is a big thumbs up when having to feed a large family on a budget.

After comming here for the first time I will never come here again! A loaf of bread $7.00 an average size bottle of bbq sauce $7.99 everything seems so over priced. I did buy A small package of ranch brats it costed me over $10.00 for 5 little brats. You couldnt even tell there was ranch in them they just tasted like plain brats. I might as well went and bought some Johnsonville brats and put Hidden Valley over them it would of been better. I also had to wait 10 minutes till the 2 boys running the register to stopped flirting with a customer. She did give the one man running the register her phone
