When we bought this 10 acre slice of heaven in May of 2017 we did not have any plans to share it with the world. We moved to the country to get away from the hustle and bustle. It wasn't until we walked our field that we realized this would be a perfect spot for a rustic barn for events. That is when The Sugar Maple Barn idea was born.
We offer indoor and outdoor seating areas plus a ceremony area with alter. We also have an in-house DJ (the owner) that is available at a discounted price when you book with us. We can accommodate up to 150 guests, 100 inside the barn and 50 outside. There are no additional fees to use our decor, tables, chairs, no trash fee, no setup fee, we have no hidden fees.
The barn can seat 100 people inside depending upon setup. We can seat an additional 50 people outside the barn. If you are wanting the outside seating to be covered you will be responsible for renting a tent. Yes, to reserve your date there is a $600 non-refundable deposit due at the time of booking the barn.

Not only is the price reasonable, the owner got us in contact with a great bartender, photographer, and DJ. The night went smoothly and everyone had a great time! Ryan and his family do a tremendous job of taking care of their guests.

Ryan and his family did an exceptional job taking care of us and our families on our wedding day. We received so many compliments on the venue and even with rain, Ryan and his family made the wedding of my dreams happen. I will forever be grateful for them as they made our wedding day rememberable and wonderful!

From the time we previewed the venue to our wedding day Ryan was so helpful with the whole process especially with getting permits and paperwork turned in on time. He gave recommendations on various things (caterers, photographers, etc). Love that there were decorations to borrow for free. Everything ran so smoothly with Ryan also being our DJ. He was great and energetic while DJing also. It was really nice renting the trailer to have a space for the guys to get ready. There is beautiful scenery for taking pictures. Thank you for making our day so special!!

Ryan the owner was fantastic for our event. The sugar maple barn was affordable and had everything that we could have wanted! He followed up and explained things we didnt understand. Very friendly and definitely help keep everything moving on track for day of. I would recommend the sugar maple barn for anyone looking for a wedding venue!! I have attached a photo of our special day so you can see how beautiful it was!!!

Ryan and his crew were an absolute dream team. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs that day--and let us tell you we had a heat index of almost 100 with some intense humidity. Needless to say, our needs changed a lot to work around the heat and the (you guessed it ) rain storm.
We watched Ryan switch the schedule around for pictures and dancing and it was handled flawlessly.
There were electrical needs that they tackled and solved with out sacrificing music or logistic needs.
All of this to say that the barn is picturesque and the staff is an absolute dream and pleasure to work

The Sugar Maple Barn is a great place for a wedding! My daughter and her fiancée chose this place because it it "newer", and they have reasonable pricing. I was told by my daughter that it was around HALF the cost of similar venues in and around Indy.
Ryan, the owner/operator has a nice setup, and his ability to make on-the-fly adjustments was the primary reason that the only "hitch" in our event was the knot that Natalie and Sam tied at the altar.
I am sure that a guy like Ryan will be able to accommodate any requests that you may have for your event.

Ryan and his family do a tremendous job of taking care of their guests. He went above and beyond our expectations, stayed later than we were suppose to have the barn for and allowed us to dance to a few more songs. The barn was set up absolutely perfectly to accommodate our families for the last ceremony of the year. Would highly recommend this barn to anyone thinking about doing a barn wedding in the future!
