Call 612-567-0068 or contact ProTech Chimney Restoration for a chimney cap inspection. Without a chimney cap, animals and birds can make a home in your chimney and major problems can develop. Too often, animals die in the chimney resulting in awful odors, maggot infestation, and worse. If animals become stuck in your chimney, it can be costly to have a professional remove them.
Chimney liners serve as an extra layer between the inside of the chimney and the framing of your home. This provides another layer of protection as common defects can appear in the chimney. Defects, no matter how small, can begin a process that will further erode the chimney and can pose a threat to your family's safety through the creation of health risks.
The interior space of your fireplace where you burn wood is called the firebox. Although the refractory mortar and firebricks used to construct this area are built to withstand high temperatures, over time, they tend to deteriorate. Sometimes the firebox becomes weakened with age and use or could be damaged as the result of a chimney fire.
Though the black residue in the chimney from burning wood is called creosote, it is in fact mostly tar. There are three types of creosote that are found in chimneys and they are usually called 'stages' or 'degrees.' All three forms are combustible and should be removed. The most severe stage may require a Chemical Catalyst.
Restore the integrity of your smoke chamber, and make your fireplace safer, and more efficient. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), defective smoke chambers are the third leading cause of chimney related house fires. For the safety and efficiency of your fireplace, it is important that any gaps, cracks, or holes in the smoke chamber be sealed and the brick corbelling be made smooth.

Chad and his team did exactly what was promised. They used technology to not only schedule the day of work, remind me a day before, but also send a note when they were enroute. They arrived exactly on time and finished as promised. Their crew was young , energetic, polite and displayed competency. When finished I received an image from inside the chimney showing the completed work. Everything was spotless when finished. I would highly recommend this company to repair your chimney.

Originally contacted Protech for refacing of a chimney thinking we had an aesthetic issue. After a thorough inspection the crew found that there had once been a fire in the chimney and the entire thing was no longer structurally sound.
We were given multiple options to choose from to repair it and wound up choosing to have the chimney demolished and the remaining stack brought up to code to vent our water heater and furnace.
From start to finish the crew was awesome, punctual, knowledgeable and did a great job keeping the work spaces clean and leaving it as they found it.
Overall, a great experience

I recently had a minor water leak around one of my chimneys. After receiving a few estimates, it was clear that Pro Tech was the obvious choice. Chad and his crew (Chip and Devin), were extremely professional, prompt, and thorough with their work. They were even kind enough to ensure a quick turn around time as I had tight schedule in which to get the work done. Thanks again, Chad!

From start to finish I had a great experience. Scheduled a free estimate online, Chad showed up within the arrival window and assessed my chimney, and a bid with recommendations was provided within a day or two. Chad was able to explain to me what my chimney needed and assured I understood the process. We accepted the bid and scheduled a day and time through Shannon in the office and I am very pleased with the work. I will recommend to anyone looking to have their chimney restored. Thanks to everyone!

Just had ProTech preform some repairs on my chimney. Vary satisfied with the work. Showed up earlier than schedule, impressive. Good group of workers that did a excellent job. Chad, owner, was great to work with. Vary talkative about his work. Will tell you anything you want to know about the chimney repair and maintenance. No hard sell at all. I got 4 bids and his made the most sense. Price was good. I have no problem recommending ProTech for your chimney services.
