Since 2012, Agou Hair braiding has been redefining Charlotte's African braiding and hairstyle offering by concentrating on healthy hair processes, products and outcomes. Our stylists continue to master their art of the ancient and modern African hair braiding traditions.
These are basically free handing braids with or without extensions. The braid is divided into three equal sections and are intertwined or weaved into one another. Single Braids are a combination of shorter hair braids and extensions made from either natural hair or synthetic hair. Do you know that the most popular style we do right now is Single Braids?

I will never in my good days go to this place again. The lady that did my hair her name was mama I believe she was super rough with my hair. I told her to blow dry my hair so that she isn’t pulling my hair out and she literally asked me why I didn’t do it before I came to their shop. I went completely off she was coughing sneezing and burping as if Covid isn’t a thing and charged me $145 for some straight back cornrow braids. As pregnant as I am I should’ve just stuck with the place I originally wanted to go too. As a braided y’all should learn more then just box braids

I went to Agou braiding for my 12pm appointment that I scheduled yesterday. I text the same number every time with the same stylist Louise. When I arrived today. Louise was clueless about my appointment. She was there with a older lady and one more braider. Louise made me get in the other braiders chair and she immediately snatched the cape off my neck sayinv my hair was too short on the side. Louise always braids my hair due to shorter sides. They left me sitting in the chair. They started speaking in their language and then Louise said come back at 4pm. I live almost an hour away. Not possible

I've recently had a crochet hair style done, I asked for specific hair braiding pattern, to preserve my edges and asked several times but was ignored. You have to be vocal, because they will ignore you and yes you and not do what you request very frustrating.
Braids were too tight, and they changed the price when I arrived for service... the good thing about them they accept walk-ins.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality
The wait is ridiculous. Despite me making an appointment at 10am, I had to wait 4 HOURS. Then when they finally started they kept walking off to have conversations with fellow workers. Not only that but they’re extremely overpriced. Normal length box braids for $175???

I asked for a style and got what they wanted to give me. I reached out a week ahead with photo and said I wanted the exact same size and length. When I arrived for my appointment they tried to re quote me. Since I refused pay more my hair style isn't the same as I requested just similar. They do neat work BUT beware they are SLICK. I simply paid and left but future customers should know. I was on time but had to wait 40 minutes for a braider plus for her to get set up.

I made an appointment to get microbraids but was persuaded to get small box braids which was better for my hair being that my hair is still growing back from me cutting it at the beginning of the year. The ladies that worked on my hair were very professional. The older lady know how to grip the hair to make sure your braids won't come out...lol but overall they did an excellent job on my hair. When I walked out the shop my boyfriend immediately complimented me.

I drive tractor trailers. I went here today to get some large senaglese twists. I did not have an appointment. They were absolutely professional and did an awesome job on my hair. They took out my old braids, washed and deep conditioned my hair and braided my hair beautifully!!! They were all very nice and a joy to be around. I felt right at home!!! Thank you some much for everything!!!

After 3 attempts in one day my conclusion is they do not specialize in twist and have no clue what the difference is between Marley twist, kinky twist and Senegalese twist. Very rough on head very rigorous! Does not honor 24 hr services as advertised. Owner made severa attempts to rectify my issue my hairstyle was better but still not what I wanted or paid for. A week later after the stiffness wore out I discover one of my twist was cut & unfinished. The lady who did my front twists are intact and good length but the lady named Mama who did the back did not do a great job. Twist in the back are
