The Epidural Steroid Injection is a procedure where a numbing medicine (anesthetic) and an anti- inflammatory medicine (steroid) is injected into the epidural space to treat pain caused by irritation of the spinal nerves. A protective covering called the dural sac surrounds the spinal cord. This sac contains spinal fluid that bathes and nourishes the spinal cord.

The front office staff is the most unprofessional group of individuals ever assembled in one place. The doctor deserves better but, even after I shared with him my negative experiences and interactions with them, he did not make the necessary changes and they still treated me poorly. Trust me, don’t bother with this medical practice. All 5 of my lumbar discs are messed up and I live in pain each day but I am no longer going to subject myself to their mistreatment. Do like me and find another pain specialist!

My boyfriend had a visit with them earlier today and when he left he was livid. He told me when he walked in he had already felt judged. It took over an hour for him to be seen and when the doctor finally saw him he treated him as a drug seeker. Told him that he wouldn’t call him with his results because they would forget and he was sure he’d call for them. From what he told me he said that he didn’t feel welcomed at all and the office staff wasn’t very professional. They all were laughing like he was the butt of some joke. And upon reading the other reviews I don’t doubt it.

Dr. Zhou is very knowledgeable and efficient, which is great when you're in a lot of pain. I believe they prioritize the patients getting procedures, which is awesome when you're in a lot of pain and need a nerve block or a cortisone injection - I'm usually out the door in half an hour. With sedation and things like radio-frequency ablation (which I've had here twice in the last 5 years - on my neck), I can't vouch for how long it takes since.. you know, sedation, but the results have been wonderful.
Staff is very friendly and greets me by name every time, and they make a genuine effort to help

Have been his patient since Oct 2001; after my Neurosurgeon, at that time he'd referred me, to Him, specifically not one of Dr's in that practice, TPI, or *The Pain Institute*, or his Sr. Boss, there.
Then, after my April Surgery & Rehab [(on/off)during the mo's of Jun-Aug. '01].
He was a Jr Dr., in that other practice*. So, when he was confronted with not having complete control where he was, with his patients-alone, he decided to go out on his own, moving down on S. Hurstborne Pkway to his current office in Liberty II Residence at 1230 Hurstborne Pkwy; Unit 102 (1st floor).

Worst doctor I've ever encountered. He was rude when I decided not to do botox for my migraines, then dismissed me from the practice. He treated me like I didn't matter because I didn't agree with his course of treatment, despite me doing research and deciding it was not what is best for me. He told me to go back to my family doctor if all I wanted was pills, then wrote me a prescription for pills I couldn't take, and dismissed me. I've been with a different pain mgmt doctor for over a year, she actually listens to me and has tried to help the actual pain, not just mask it. Avoid this doctor if

Only reason they did not zero stars is because of the Doctor did a pretty good job. Except would not call me back when asked to deal with a conflict. Staff - Difficult - Office Manager - Should be fired the way she talks, raises her voice and quite honestly treats patients the way she wants. Does not listen and wants to problem solve. After a confrontation, I certainly did lose my cool. That is only after I was pushed and pushed and pushed. If I could have had an adult conversation they would have seen that my Rx - was written for only 14 days instead of 30. So the conflict good have been avoided
