The Current enforces a 50% cancellation fee, calculated on the scheduled service total, for all appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment start-time. To cancel your appointment outside of our desk hours, please email contact@thecurrentmarin.com within 24hrs of your scheduled appointment time.
The Current is Marin's newest upscale hair salon, lead by owners, Stephanie Fimbres and Jenna Thomas. We hope our space evokes a warm and welcoming presence to our clients, but also feels serene and open. Designed with modern functionality in mind from the inspiration of the airy, coastal vibes that embody Marin County, our intention is for everyone to feel right at home here in The Current.
Hand sanitizing stations will be located frequently throughout the facility as well as frequent hand washing. All used surfaces and equipment will be wiped down after every client with medical grade disinfectant. The Current Marin is committed to your satisfaction. If for any reason you are unhappy with your hair service please contact us within 7 days from your original appointment so we can arrange for you to come back in.

Super disappointed. I had an appointment here to get my hair done right before several special events and when I walked in it was jam packed full of people and not one was wearing a mask- like it literally looked like they were having a party in there. I asked to be taken to a space where I could be safer / more protected and was denied any real options. It's fine if not everyone wants to make the same choices but there should at least be a safe option or some sort of warning that they are no longer honoring the masking as they were 5 weeks ago. I love The Current! I had been getting my hair done by the same person for almost a decade but recently made the tough decision to find someone closer to home. I've now had two appointments with Amy at The Current, and I am so happy with my hair. Booking appointments is super easy and can be done by text which I love. The salon is clean and pretty. Most importantly, Amy has done a great job getting my cut and color exactly how I like it. Highly recommend both Amy and the Salon.

Christina is amazing. She brought me back to my natural blonde from red flawlessly. Her technique, her planning, her attention to detail, her artistic and coloring insights and experience was impeccable. I was feeling drab as a redhead as it was an experimental phase, and now I feel like my natural self again. My hair actually feels healthier and I have regained my confidence. I am so impressed with Amy and the ladies at The Current Marin. The design of this place inside and out is absolutely beautiful and so well thought out. Everything is very current and up to date. I have been waiting to try this salon for over a year now and held out on getting some color work done after following their Instagram- and I'm so glad I did! I went to Steph, a co-owner of the salon, and honestly, just trusted her based on what I've seen her do. I couldn't be happier with the results! Kristina is the very best - she couldn't be sweeter, and her hair skills are on point. I finally went back after a year of no hair cuts due to COVID, and I am beyond thrilled with the cut. She took the time to find out what I wanted, lovely scalp massage, thorough cut. And I feel very comfortable with their precautions - it's a big airy space, everyone wearing masks, plenty of space and dividers between stations.

Can't say enough fantastic things about Stephanie and the staff at The Current! I'm naturally brunette and Stephanie took my lifeless, brassy hair and turned it into my hair into magical, natural looking blonde! She is simply the BEST with blondes. I adore this salon! The women who run it are so inspiring and talented. I absolutely adore this salon and my stylist Steph! I've been a client of Steph for a couple of years now and won't go to anyone else. I feel so at ease and at home in her chair, and she really feels like an old friend. She is incredibly skilled, my color, extension and styling are always on point! I now bring my daughter to her as well for fun color and sweet cuts. On top of that the salon itself is gorgeous, opulent yet super chill. Incredible vibe, incredible people. The cutest salon! I have been a client of Stephanie's (one of the owners/stylists) since before opening The Current and she has always done a fantastic job.
