Dr. Abdel - Maqsoud has received Doctoral degree of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific in 1984. Following his graduation, he completed his residency in all aspect of Dentistry from UCLA IN 1987 and training in USC in 1988. Dr. Abdel- Maqsoud is a resident of the Los Angeles area since 1987, serving the community and volunteering at Children dental at St. Joseph Hospital.

Briefly went to him a couple of years ago. He recommended a scary amount of work (replacement fillings, pulled teeth... ) and tried to convince me to do it right away or suffer horrible dental health repercussions. When I questioned him I got a lot of ego as Dr. Maqsoud attempted to project authority. Needless to say I got a second opinion with another dentist who could not find any reason why Dr. Maqsoud created such an aggressive and expensive treatment plan. The whole experience was scary and sleazy.

I cannot say enough great things about this dental practice. The staff is friendly, professional & made me feel comfortable during these COVID times. Coming from a past dentist who was a nightmare, I was very nervous and scared, but the dentist & hygienist were incredible and my issue cleared up just as they said it would. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone, especially if you are uneasy about going to the dentist. Truly the best!!

Went in after a root canal. Dr Maqsoud cleaned it up and got it ready for next visit. Best dentist I have ever been to. From cleanliness to his staff to communication to compassion to friendliness. I remember dentist visits being a drag ad painful and uncomfortable, but with this doctor you won't have to think that. I finally want to go and take care of my teeth without it being a drag.

Three weeks ago,Dr. Alaa hired me after job interview as a front desk receptionist and he told me that he will give me a week to talk to my manager from my other job to give them notice about my new job. and because of my school I cannot do two jobs so I have to quit the job to start my new job after i gave my manager notice, I called them and told them that I talked to the manager and a week later will be my last week working there, Jina the lady who works there she was on the phone with me and she said ok great, I will let the doctor know and we'll call you back.

I've been to Dr. Max's office a few times and while his work that was done on me seems to be very well done (no pain or problems after treatment), his table-side manners need some (or a lot) of improvement.

I had an appointment at 9 30 am and was told by 9 45 that the doctor was stuck in traffic and they had absolutely no idea when he was going to show up. I had to take time off work to come here and for no one to even call to give me a heads up and just keep me waiting is just extremely unprofessional. Not to mention no one even apologized or seemed to care they had me show up for nothing. The staff asked me if I wanted to reschedule since they had no clue when the dentist would arrive. Everyone here is so sweet and comforting! I am extreeeeeemely terrified of going to the dentist (even if it's just for a cleaning or X-ray!)
Nancy, Azy, Dr Mac, Gina (sorry if I missed anyone) thank you so much! For once I am not terrified for my next appointment (I might even be excited for it!) I've had horror stories at other places in the past and this experience has been my absolute best yet.
The office is clean and quiet.
Only downside would be the parking! Be sure to go extra early to find a spot on the street or pay $1 for every 15 minutes.

I was telling my coworker that I am going to the dentist and that I'm having my fillings replaced. I've never had it before and she gives me her opinion blah blah. She says if your dentist is good you'll be fine. I respond with, "my dentist is the best" and she says "no mine is". We go back and forth on it and come to find out we were talking about the same damn dentist - DR. MAQ! I live in Santa Clarita, she lives in the valley and we both come to Burbank (since we were babies) for our dentist. Everyone

We have known Dr. Maq for about 27 years now. My brother who hated dentist with a passion recommended him and actually told us he's good... so that was worth checking out.
My whole family and clan go to him now. My children, nieces and nephews love him. He is honest, good, funny, and gentle. His staff are awesome as well. Gina has been working with Dr. Maq for as long as we've been going there. So that tells you a lot!
They have gotten better and better over the years. They do not overbook,so patients don't have to wait a long time and you are not rushed out of there.
