Services
Our values statements represent Joining Hands Health Center's core beliefs, which inspire and guide our choices in our operations and in dealing with people. We define personal well-being as health, comfort, and happiness - mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. Knowing that everyone is a work in progress leads us to provide services that address a wide variety of physical and mental health issues.
The Jefferson Rural Clinic is an independent IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 2005 by a group headed by Kathy Marshall to meet the medical and dental needs of those in the area that are not being met by traditional medical facilities. We currently have many medical professionals that volunteer on a regular basis and over 50 total volunteers who take care of everything from office work to cleaning the facility.
Imagine if you were asked to come to work at our clinic not knowing if it would survive? Will your job still be there in a year - 2 years - 5 years? If you're considering leaving a job or business that's well-established I'm sure you would want to have reasonable assurance that it will be a long-term position.
Personally contact your Tennessee legislators and give voice to your opinions. Letters, emails and phone calls can all be effective. All three are important. Some legislators respond to emails, some to phone calls, some to letters - all methods are important. Share this post with friends, family members and neighbors to express your desire for fellow citizens to have better health coverage.
Volunteers are the core of the clinic. Volunteers are the reason the clinic is able to provide services. As we celebrate the beginning of our second decade our goal is to delegate responsibilities to an even larger pool of willing people, all of whom have support and fellowship, so that no one person carries the bulk of responsibility.

I haven't had the pleasure to get help from y'all, but I inquired about it. I have learned, that you need better volunteers, that don't judge people, and act like they are better than them. Also, you should give a person a second chance, if they miss an appointment. You know things always happen, and to fully dismiss them forever, for missing one appointment is wrong! #Do Better, #Be Better! I will just get some pliers and pull my own dang teeth!

I was extremely sick & had missed several weeks of work. I didn’t have health insurance so my chest congestion kept getting worse. They were able to affordably treat me. I had bronchitis that had lingered in my chest for months eventually it developed into pneumonia. After months of battling my chest congestion some visit at this clinic & within a week I was feeling better than I felt in months. It took a few weeks to fully recover & feel 100% but who knows how long or if I would have recovered at all had I not visited this clinic. I probably would have ended up hospitalized. I am very grateful

I came to this clinic for the first time several months ago and found a group of volunteers who give their time to help those of us who can't really afford a normal dental visit. The first appointment they were great, but my last appointment they went above and beyond anything I could ever expect at a volunteer clinic where I pay $20 for my visit. The doctor, who wanted to be called Dr. Wonderful ...lol.. took so much time on my front teeth to repair them and make them look amazing. I smile so much more now and I'm so thankful to the Lord for a group of volunteer men and women for all they did

Free and very low-cost appointments for Medical, Dental, Diabetes, High blood pressure & mental health care are provided in this very professional, well-equipped non-profit clinic. It's an incredible honor to serve with nearly 60 sincerely dedicated volunteers who bend over backwards to help those in need.

This is an amazing place!! I called with a horrible toothache and they told me to come on in. I am so scared of going to the dentist but the staff was so friendly, very nice and they made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. The dentist Dr. Molloy and his assistant was incredibly nice and kept talking to me and they both were calm. He pulled my tooth and I didn't feel a thing. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
