Founder Joseph Boghos actually sketched this image as a depiction of he and Mary Boghos in Syria back in the 1940's. He wanted it to be front and center on the first product they launched - the Joseph's Original Pita Bread - which continues on today. In 1952, Joseph Boghos, immigrated with his family from Damascus, Syria, to the greater Boston area.
Missing the flavors of home, he recreated some of his favorite dishes in his kitchen. One of these was an authentic pita bread made from a recipe handed down through his family. His neighbors, fascinated with the portable sandwich pocket, started asking for pita of their own. To meet the demand, he founded Joseph's Bakery in 1972.

I understand we are in a world of less product for more money now. But when it effects the quality of product it's time to grow a bit of a brain. Your pita bread is so thin and flimsy, when you make a stuffed sandwich (as the reason for pita bread in first place) it breaks apart as you are cutting it in half. If your lucky enough to salvage a half you end up waring the food the bread is not strong enough to hold lettuce let alone meat. Get with the program. I am going to make videos of how bad it's become.

Poor product & Rude CSR,
I been purchasing pita bread for long time and on my last shopping mistakely I picked the wrong brands pita bread and I wasted my Money, I you can see in the photo I have provided the weight(37g) of each pita bread is way under the normal pita bread and this particular brands you can not use it for anything, the photo on bag shows you can make a nice sandwich out of it but this pita bread hardly will hold to two leafs of romaine lettuce will definitely break in part.So I called to customer service representative to report the issues with pita her name was shandiz said

As far as the product I am for the most part satisfied but a lot of the pitas are wrinkled so bad you have to discard part of it. My other thing is if a package says includes 6 I want 6 not 4 or 5. I buy 4 and 5 packs at a time because that's all that will be on wal-mart shelf. So it says 6 I expect 6. We are on a low carb diet and these work well for bread replacement. Thank you waiting to hear back. Don't know why I counted this time but out of the 5 packs 4 had 5 and 1 pack had 4. The next I purchase I will count if short I will switch product's

Yes! I love your product and bread was a big part of my diet. Over the past year, in addition to other things I have done, I discovered your Flax, Pita breads, and I use a package every week. In the past year, I have lost close to 35 lbs. As an fyi. I still like a sandwich, and by cutting your pockets in half, I can have two mini-sandwich's a day. Much thanks and continued success. s

I have been ordering the High Fiber Plus Pita Bread for several years. I order about one case a month. One of the shipments I received had thin pitas that were very different from the usual thick ones I have received. I emailed customer service and received a reply the next day. To my surprise, I received a whole case about 5 days later. Many thanks to Joseph's Bakery for their great customer service!!

Our local stores used to carry Joseph's flax/oat/whole wheat pita bread. These are a wholesome substitute for bread and so much healthier for our family. They are also very tasty. We stuff them with tuna, chicken, veggies, anything! Great way to avoid excess carbs from bread and shed unwanted belly fat. When our local stores carried these they flew off the shelves. For some odd reason local chains don't like to make money and no longer carry these products. It's a shame, this is a great product, loved by consumers!
