Malcolm Marine, Inc. has been in the marine construction, towing and salvage business for over 50 years. Founded in 1960 by Keith and Barb Malcolm out of their Marine City, Michigan home; the family business continues today managed by Keith and Barb's children. Based out of St. Clair, Michigan, with our tug dock in Port Huron on the beautiful St. Clair River, we do marine work anywhere on the Great Lakes.

We specialize in icebreaking and towing with our 110', 2250 hp tug MANITOU; we also own several smaller workboats; numerous barges ranging in size from 10' to 150' in length. Our construction division specializes in dredging, seawalls, piling and docks. We can do any size job, whether it be residential, commercial or public.
Services
The company was founded by Keith Malcolm as a Marine Construction, Diving, and Salvage operation in 1960. His first job was the recovery of a ships anchor in the St. Clair River. Early jobs included vessel inspections, wheel and or rudder repairs, and marine construction. As the equipment got larger the jobs eventually spread all over the Great Lakes.
We are a very versatile company and perform a wide range of services. We can adapt our personnel and equipment to perform the task at hand. We take pride in the fact that we have never backed out of a job and have always completed every job we took on. We carry all necessary insurance and our safety record is impeccable.
This pipe is to be used in the offshore oil industry off the coast of Nigeria. The MANITOU departed Manitowoc and arrived with cargo safely in tow in Montreal, Quebec, ten days later. In the Straits of Mackinac and the St Lawrence River she encountered ice up to 24 thick. Flooding and ice damage to docks and boathouses along the river upstream of the ice jam were occurring.
