We offer custom tattooing, professional piercing and the largest inventory of implant grade jewelry in the Inland Pacific Northwest. Kendall Yards is located just north of downtown Spokane and offers ample parking as well as restaurants, shopping and easy access to the Centennial Trail.

Services
Tattooing is collaborative: by its very nature, tattooing requires participation from the client/collector as well as from the artist. Whether you know exactly what you want or don't have a clue, a process of discovery will always happen. Tattoos are personal: because it is administered by a human hand (and not a machine), and worn on a human body, every tattoo is unique and means something to the collector.
Once an artist opens their books, their Project Submission Form will be open for a limited amount of time. When the form closes, the artist will review the submitted projects and start contacting clients. Due to the high volume of submitted projects each artist receives, we cannot guarantee an appointment for everyone, but we do try our best to get as many of you in as we can.
NOTE: we will let everyone know as soon as we can get back to a more normal way of doing business (see our "normal" policy below). At Mom's, we welcome folks walking in; our counter staff is always available to answer questions and help you figure out which artist may be best for you as well as schedule you for a free consultation so you can speak with an artist about your particular project.
The application of your tattoo created many small pinpricks in the surface of your skin. They will bleed during the initial couple of hours following the tattoo process. The tagaderm bandage we typically use should protect your new tattoo while allowing you to show it to friends and family. Follow your tattoo artist's recommendation on when to remove your bandage.
Shandra Swilling (she/her) is our manager and principal piercer. She is a member of the Association of Professional Piercers and the driving force behind our Body Piercing and jewelry offerings. Shandra brings her love for design and fashion to her piercing services. She has an uncanny ability to understand your esthetic so she can recommend jewelry and piercings that fit you and your lifestyle.

I’ve gone to moms twice now and it’s definitely my favorite shop in town. Beth did an amazing job with color saturation for my Majoras mask tattoo. It still looks fresh even a year later. And Natalie gave me one of the best experiences of my life. Doing a ritual tattoo was amazing. Working with her was great, she listened to every detail, and actually going through the ritual is unworldly. She literally helped me reclaim a part of myself. I couldn’t be happier with this shop. And I can’t wait to go back for my next tattoo.

I get compliments all the time, healing process was a breeze, 6 years later and it still looks as pristine as day 1. The only store I will buy body jewelry from in town. You don't understand the quality if you balk at the price of that.

I have had a few piercing/downsizing experiences with Dae and he is phenomenal! Every piercing was perfect and he explained everything he was doing so I felt comfortable and ready. Mom's marries beautiful tattoos, exceptional piercings and jewelry with a safe environment. Too many shops seem condescending and inaccessible but Mom's is consistently warm and welcoming to all who walk through their doors. Beyond cleanliness and excellent customer service the artists are in a class of their own. Each brings their own style but also shows mastery across the board. There is a reason I go back to Mom's time and time again.

Okay, so I was super disappointed in the fact that I could not get the daith piercing that I went in for, when I consulted with Dae the professional recommendation I got was that it would not heal properly and that the anatomy of my ear was not suited for a daith. While that was disappointing it really stood out to me because he used his skills and his knowledge to provide the best customer service possible. Including "we can refund your deposit for you" instead of mandating it would go towards a different piercing that day and rushing a decision. I did decide to go with a double rook piercing

The studio was beautiful, clean and very professional. I had special order a custom Darth Vader daith that was perfect. Zach did my Daith piercing and jewelry installation.

My daith jewelry was sterilized in a state of the art autoclave. Zach even showed me the strip that indicated thatthe jewelry was properly sterile. I've never written a review for anything before, but my fantastic experience at Mom's deserved one. I went to Mom's to get a double helix piercing and a nostril piercing. I've gotten piercings before, but only on my earlobes, so wasn't sure what to expect from cartilage piercings. My piercer, Zach, was so kind, helpful, and informative. After getting my piercings done, I felt fine for awhile and then started to get tunnel vision and feel nauseous (which I guess is not unusual when getting multiple piercings done). All of the staff at Mom's were so kind and caring, they brought me snacks and water

Great time! The staff goes over the costs with you before they even take you in back, cleanliness and sanitation was at the forefront of every action. Shandra (my piercer) was amazing, she walked through all the steps, checked in with me constantly, helped me to relax. This was the most pleasant piercing I’ve ever had!

When I went in it was for three cartilage piercings. Two are still in but one got really infected and grew a bump behind it so I had to take it out. It healed upon removing the jewelry. The customer service was not the best. I had my daughter with me who was very little at the time (4 years old) and the piercer and front desk girls were not super friendly to her or me sadly. Kinda made us feel unwelcome. My daughter asked to watch and the piercer said no to her. Made her so sad. I've had piercings before at bullet proof, and silver safari and they always let someone be with you. Thought

Mom's is a phenomenal business and the best spot for piercing in Spokane. All of the staff are friendly, courteous, and warm. Shandra is immensely talented and does a wonderful job putting clients at ease. She did such a great job with my multiple piercings and is very experienced in working with people who may have had traumatic experiences getting pierced in the past. She (and the rest of the employees) really espouse the ideal of piercing as an empowering method of self-expression. They also have a beautiful selection of jewelry, all in a setting that is exceptionally clean and welcoming

I went in for a nipple piercing, during Covid, instructions were easy, they were prompt and friendly, sanitary. Dae was my piercer. He walked me through the steps and was so great as he new I was nervous. He was amazing and I highly recommend him and Mom's to go to. Thanks Dae for being so great and a fantastic piercer.

I reached out to Mom's by phone and email on several occasions to get a small piece done on my leg with open feedback from an artist to get comfortable with them before potentially getting A LOT of work done (half my upper torso). This staff is very unprofessional lacking in communication and would not recommend wasting your time dealing with them. Serious run around.

I've been both tattooed and pierced here . I highly recommend them !!! Most recently I had my daith pierced with Dae . Where I can't say it was painless, it was a great experience. From their boutique style , choosing jewelry ( which they have a great selection of) , to the sterilization process of your new metal , they really have it all . Also, they are taking Covid measures very seriously:)

I went in for my consultation a while ago and met with Traci about my floral arm tattoo. I came in wit some examples and my basic idea of what I wanted. She was great to collaborate with. During the actual tattoo process she definitely took her time to ensure that the tattoo stencil fit just right on my arm. My session was over two hours and she made me feel very comfortable, despite drilling a needle into my arm :D the atmosphere was fun and the music was perfect. She even took it upon herself to correct a previous tattoo on my shoulder!

Had an amazing experience at Mom's Tattoo and Piercing in Spokane! Wrenn Grey was my tattoo artist and she was very helpful and willing to work with me to get the best art for what I wanted. She did a beautiful job on my tattoo and made me feel comfortable and heard. The shop is clean and inviting. Staff were super helpful when we walked in to check things out and find which artist fit what I needed and what my husband needed. Thanks Mom's! We will be back!

TATTOOS: I watched my husband get a half sleeve done by Bonnie and it finally gave me the courage to start my own half sleeve. We both have smaller pieces done by Bonnie but I didn't know if I was ready for the commitment to a big piece. My husband's half sleeve is absolutely gorgeous. For more than a decade I've been contemplating a back piece. I've seen a lot of artists and been to a lot of shops but nothing ever resonated with me. In November I stumbled upon Mom's after reading more tattoo shop reviews than I care to admit. I decided to pop on in without an appointment to thumb through portfolios and check out the space. Amazing!!! I tell everyone I know to come here as this is by far the best tattoo and piercing shop in the area. All of the artists and piercers are awesome. Extremely clean shop with by far the best selection of jewelry and you really can't find better people than those that work here. I have had 12 piercings done between Shandra and Nathan and they both did excellent jobs. If only I hadn't run out places to pierce;-) Absolutely love them both. Additionally, my back was tattooed by the most phenomenal artist - Traci Manley. I can't even put into words how much I love my back piece
