Your fireplace is meant to be the center of your home, the place where your family can gather together and build memories. Whether it's to stay warm when it's cold or to open presents at the holidays, having a fireplace keeps your home warm, and also warms your heart. At American Fireplace & Insulation, we match you with the perfect fireplace for your family and then install it into your home.
Your attic should have a minimum of 13 of insulation. Adding Attic Insulation is one of the most basic and cost-effective ways to increase the value and comfort of your home while reducing energy bills. Hot air rises and cool air falls; therefore, this continuous motion causes a poorly insulated home to become uncomfortable.
Is your house warmer then you'd like it to be? Does your air conditioner struggle to keep up with the extreme heat? Are your electric bills going through the roof? There's a good chance that you need additional insulation in your attic. If it isn't properly installed, your home insulation will settle over time - and it shouldn't.
Insulation is clearly a great choice for the energy efficiency of your home, but it can also help you when tax time comes, with credits that mean more money in your pocket. Be sure to ask one of our helpful professionals for more details today! Insulate Your House This Year And Receive 30% of your cost in Federal Income Tax Credits, available for purchases made in 2017.
A: It does, but the insulation you have may not be enough for your home. In much of the housing in America, attic insulation levels are minimal, at best. That's because many home builders only offer standard (not optimal) levels of insulation in order to maintain competitive selling prices.

Couple this with the fact that older insulation tends to settle over time if not installed properly, if you live in an older home, you probably need to add insulation. But even in a newer home, additional insulation will save enough money in reduced utility bills to pay for itself quickly, allowing you to benefit from those savings as they continue.

Avoid this company, they've either folded or simply refuse to follow up on their installations. SCH builder had them install a fireplace in the model home. Fireplace was never used but does not work. Builder asked them to fix. They ordered the parts but never follwed up after 5 mos of leaving messages. Find someone local instead to install and do follow up service for you.
