Great salads and sandwiches!! Garden salad with chicken is my favorite. Tender, moist sliced chicken breast atop fresh greens. Served with a roll. French dip features flavorful sliced beef on a soft roll. Au jus is perfect. Sandwich portions are larger! Half size of selected sandwich available.

I wanted to support a local place in Anacortes so I found this spot on yelp to get a sandwich. It was only after walking and that it was clear that they really didn't need my support to stay in business. The place was crazy busy! I ordered my sandwich and had to wait actually a fair amount of time to get it even though it was to go. Not a complaint just a reality of how busy they were. I stood to the side and could watch several people working to make sandwiches as fast as they could. This was no place where they Skimp on the meat or some thing. They were grabbing handfuls and putting it on

Stopped in one morning on way to ferry, based on reviews. It's a great place to grab some food. Breakfast sandwiches freshly made and really tasty. Yummy cinnamon rolls.
Fabulous carrot cake - frosting is much less sweet than most frosting (more cream cheese I guess), and was really good. Got it go for later in the day. It's a good thing I don't live anywhere near Anacortes.

Good sandwich place. Large indoor space with plenty of seating. Has a fun, kitschy vibe with vintage food-related decorations. Id recommend for takeout or dine in, especially for families.
I wouldn’t really call it a deli though (they didn’t have all the side options I would expect from a full deli). The sandwiches are very good though.

Oh my! This was hands down the best place to stop in for a quick, filling affordable lunch. Everyone was SO happy with their order which is a hard fill when eating with the family. The scratch made clam chowder & Ruben were phenomenal. Great patio seating, efficient service, great staff & atmosphere, Highly recommend!

Just a perfect day! We were able to eat outdoors in the shade and relax. Our food was visually appealing and yummy. We just sat there feeling sorry for all the other restaurants in sight, who had no customers! This place was bustling, and the many staff members were hustling!! 2 registers were going, efficiently taking orders from a line of customers that was out the door. Despite this being their busiest time, our order was delivered to our table in 15 minutes!

This is a great local deli-brunch-lunch place. There was a nice selection of sandwiches, but they also had some breakfast food and pastries and could make espresso coffee drinks. The sandwich bread was excellent and the filings were fresh and high quality.
This made for a great stop before jumping on the Anacortes ferry. We bought an extra sandwich and it was still great later that night. No getting soggy or dry or falling apart.

Just the perfect place to grab a sandwich, pastry, or soup and salad before or after the ferry ride/whale watching trip across the sound! We were famished after a 4.5 hour whale watching tour and had planned on grabbing a meal a couple doors down. Once we realized this touristy area was going to offer mostly sit-down restaurants that we would wait forever to get served, we came straight here. Best decision!
I loved the decor of Gere-A-Deli and the punny name. Service was friendly and food was ready fast. We will be back on future trips to Anacortes!

EAT HERE! Was looking for a quick lunch takeout on our way out to kayaking and ran across this sandwich shop and the pics sold me. Ordered online, was 30 min out but that worked fine for us, and when I showed up the order was ready on the pickup rack and very warm. We had the Tuscan Chicken and the Old Chicago - both were really delicious! Highly recommend this deli.

Have you ever seen a more beautifully constructed sandwich? Exquisite and so delicious! I love sprouts!! Why aren’t there more places that put sprouts on their sandwiches?!?! It should be a law to always have sprouts on all sandwich’s.

I came in to take pictures of the gorgeous building and vintage decor (ig @erikalamothephotography) and had to come back to order food and dear lord they made really good food. The garden sandwich I had was seasoned well and full of fresh vegetation. Loved the flavors and would definitely come back more often if I didn’t live in Bellingham

Excellent Deli right on Main St... They obviously take a lot of pride in their work... Sandwiches are nice sized and tasty with plenty of bread options... All the baked goods are baked in house...
I don't get up to Anacortes very often but when I do this is a great/special lunch option...

SOLID sandwich place. We stopped in to pick up sandwiches while driving through Anacordes. WOW! Just incredible! If we were not in a global pandemic, I would have loved to sit inside and eat. The decor was adorable--I snapped pictures of the vintage signs decorating the walls and sent them to my antique-loving parents.
I was happy to see a dedicated (albeit, small) vegetarian menu, as I don't do meat. I ordered the fresh mozzarella sandwich with coleslaw. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The coleslaw, in particular was absolutely delicious. I cannot recall what my partner got, but it was something

This is definitely the place to be. Locals were friendly and telling us the best things to order... my husband listened and I didn't.
I ordered the Italian and the bread was awful, stale. It was really hard to eat and not enjoyable at all.
My hubs got the beef and mushroom hot sandwich with an odd name? He loved it! Best sandwich ever.
Kids weren't impressed with the gobbler, we had ordered that a few days earlier from a different restaurant, that one came hot on a croissant. This was cold and on the same stale bread.
