Alpine Shop is a full service Ski / Snowboard, Bike & Tennis Shop in South Burlington, Vermont. We feature the Wintersteiger Mercury Tuning Machine. One of few shops in Vermont to carry this state of the art Ski / Snowboard Tuning Machine. Absolutely the best tuning available. Alpine Shop has the largest selection of top model ski & snowboard gear for lease and daily rentals.
Alpine Shop is happy to announce we are now offering Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) rentals by the day and by the week. Paddleboard on Lake Champlain, Malletts Bay, Shelburne Bay, or the many rivers and reservoirs in the area. We have inflatable SUP's from Atoll and some traditional Bote Paddleboards. These are rented on a first-come, first-served basis.
Every skier and rider knows that the most important piece of equipment is their boots. And that's why for nearly 60 years, Vermonters have trusted Alpine Shop to get them in the right boots with the right fit. We have more than 10 highly trained, Master Fit-certified technicians and the largest selection of ski and snowboard boots in New England.
In an effort to maintain safe distancing and a more comfortable experience for you, Alpine Shop is doing lease (seasonal ski or snowboard package rentals) and daily equipment reservations/rental and retail boot fittings by appointment this season. On less busy days there will be "walk-in" appointments available but best to reserve in advance - particularly on weekends.
Our seasonal rental program was designed with growing kids in mind. If your child outgrows their equipment during the season, we will refit your child with the next size up, no charge! Subject to equipment availability. We recognize that everyone eventually would like to own their gear. Our Rewards Program is designed to help our seasonal rental customers make the transition from our rental program into owning equipment.

Had a fantastic experience with The Alpine Shop. I am a volunteer wish granter For Make A Wish VT and Becky the owner generously donated a $200 gift card to my wish child. When we went on 1/3/22 to purchase skis, boots, bindings and poles a wonderful young man named Guinness worked with us. He worked with us for 2 hrs. He was absolutely amazing. I would say that about all the staff as I watched many interactions between other staff and customers. I highly recommend the Alpine Shop!!⭐⭐⭐

Our family is renting skis for our second year at Alpine Shop. Our experience with the business this year has been difficult: communication and general service has been poor. Staff seem to be working very hard but it seems that "leaders" at the store have left people with poor resources and little training.
We will be renting somewhere else next year.

I set up a reservation to come in for a snowboard rental package. I filled out the online form regarding size, height etc. But when I arrived they told me they didn't have anything in my size. It's frustrating the disconnect from the online form to them. Like couldn't they tell me beforehand when I made the reservation instead of making me travel all the way there for them to tell me they don't have anything.

The Alpine Shop is great, really great - experienced, super helpful staff, quick turn-around on any ski tunes, broad inventory and selection, amazing ski/board lease program, and an impressive bike shop for regular maintenance throughout the season. I need to mention one minor gripe, its not big enough to remove a star but the stickers they use for pricing leave a big mess on items we've purchased, view the helmet photo attached. This has been consistent for years on skis and any hard goods that don't have a tag. Not sure if there is a better way to mark pricing? Thanks!

I've ordered multiple times from the Alpine Shop (skis, jacket, pants, heated socks) and always had a great experience. I'm not the most knowledgeable about ski equipment and was glad to find that a simple call to Alpine got me in touch with someone that could walk me through different equipment options so I could make a great choice. The skis I got from Alpine have been the best I have ever ridden! I also had to return pants I ordered for a different size and Alpine exchanged them with absolutely no hassle! If you want to be sent damaged goods, scammed out of $300, treated horribly by their customer service rep and ignored by the owner then I encourage you to always shop with Alpine.
I ordered a Patagonia jacket online as a Christmas gift, but decided to return for a different color. The jacket was never worn; however, Alpine claimed that it smelled of perfume and had holes in it. I repeatedly told them it had never been worn and that perfume was impossible because it was in a place that had no perfume. Their customer service rep was belligerent and refused to return my calls. When I tried to escalate

I ordered a pair of skis a few months back for an amazing deal online and had them shipped to Utah. I brought them into a local shop to mount bindings and they ended up being super incompetent. I called Alpine online support and got so much help. They helped me confirm that the local shop I brought my skis to in Utah had zero technical skills on how to mount bindings. So thank you for a great product and non-local customer service!!!

My daughter is skiing for the first time this season. We brought in equipment that was given to us by a friend to see if they could make it usable for her. I really appreciated that they made it work for us AND sold us a helmet. All for around $80 with a student discount. No snotty attitude, no upselling, just really nice guys. We'll definitely be back when we're in the market for new stuff.

They always have what I'm looking for, give great advice, and are always prompt to help me. They also have excellent deals and though they're not *cheap* (because sports gear is not cheap), I never walk away feeling like I could have gotten a better deal online. During busy season, the line at the ski service shop can be a bit of a cluster (they should probably staff it more heavily - especially on weekends!!), but they do try their best to be helpful and thorough. Consequently I have dropped quite a bit of coin here and am a happy and frequent repeat customer.

A few weeks ago I bought snow board bindings from this shop. I am from out of the state, and I needed them for my trip to QC. Initially, there was a bit of a misunderstanding, however when I went back to exchange them, we came across Jordan. She not only showed Top Notch customer service, but went above and beyond to rectify the error.

Recently bought new skis, poles, and bindings from this company online. Online service was fine, but prices were much cheaper than anywhere and there were some good deals going on. I live on the west coast so I was surprised when they showed up after only 7 days.
Everything came as planned, packed decently. Couldn't be happier, definitely will look to them when/if I need new gear.

Colin was great. He had excellent customer service, very knowledgable and treat us great. We got the lease rental for the year and he was very helpful. With the season rentals we got coupons and got helmets with earphones and Johnny was very helpful. So was Mike. Excellent staff. Love them there. I give them 10 stars if I had the option. Thank you for hiring such a great an friendly staff.
