For the last few years, I've been building spec and custom homes in the West Asheville area. I focus on smaller, single family homes built to last. I grew up in construction and worked with my dad my whole life. I framed my first house at 16. In a previous career, I traveled all over the United States doing commercial builds until returning back to my hometown of Asheville and starting Milo General Contractor, LLC.
Every project has my personal touch. I'm not the biggest guy in town, but I'm also not the smallest. I don't have project managers who take over the build, I will be with your project every step of the way. I treat each build like it's my own. Whatever you want, I'll work with you to find the best ways to give you the things that will make your house a home.

Work with licensed and bonded contractor and owner Andy Stowe to build a custom home, build a spec home, or to purchase new construction homes already built by our team. It's thanks to the ongoing support of people like you that there is a growing awareness of green building and enthusiasm for sustainability in our community.
Once you decide that working with Milo General Contractor, LLC is the right fit for you, here are the steps you can take and what you can expect in the custom home building process. Whether you're looking for a custom home in West Asheville or you have another Western North Carolina location in mind, the place where you want to build is an essential part of the process.
The location will be the top priority for most home builders. I recommend you connect with a mortgage lender first and then a local real estate professional to help you determine your budget and find the right land to build on in the West Asheville or greater Asheville area. The cost of building a new home in West Asheville will vary depending on a number of factors.

Buy or build in West Asheville? After receiving an inspection report on a 1930s home we decided to look into building instead. We reached out to Andy after seeing some of his previous new construction around Asheville. We emailed him to see if he could work with our budget and within 24 hours we were having a phone conversation. He helped us find land, navigate building plans, and set up the construction loan. He wasn’t pushy and nothing felt forced. Overall the process went very smooth. He was honest from the start about how to stay within budget during the build. He was available during construction

You won't find a harder worker than Andy Stowe of Milo General Contractor. He follows through, shows up, stays on time and on budget. The quality of his work is evident in every home he's built with attention to detail down to the last tile. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to build or buy a new home.
