Central Colorado Dermatology

Scheduling seems to be a real challenge for Central Colorado Dermatology! Not only did they incorrectly schedule 2 appointments in a row, but both the schedulers and the doctor completely lacked accountability and integrity when it came to attempting to make things right. (Very frustrating when one drives 5 hours round trip for an appointment..that's a lot of lost time. Go elsewhere!)

I visited Dr Echols (no use for Timko, either) in May and was diagnosed with Staph. If she had taken the time, which I doubt, to look at my records, she would have noted I have been on a prolonged course of topical and oral steroids for eczema. She did not physically engage me, standing back with arms crossed and made her diagnosis. She prescribed antibiotics and more topical steroids. Why not a topical antibiotic, I asked after two weeks of realizing the steroids weren't working? Now it is June and I have come to realize I am in topical steroid/steroid withdrawal. My family lives on the western slope of Colorado where Dermatologists are few and far between. Central Colorado Dermatology is very busy, and as a result it takes quite some time to be fit in for an appointment. After waiting several weeks for our appointment to look at my young son's foot, then driving two hours, Central Colorado Dermatology briefly assessed the foot and referred us to a Dermatologist in Denver. I cannot say enough good things about this office!!! The whole staff is so kind and wonderful to work with. They are friendly, caring and easy to talk to. Dr. Echols did my procedure to cut out my cancer and she did a beautiful job. I appreciated her concern and quick action when I got an infection. I’m now healing up and looking better. I HIGHLY recommend these folks!!!! Thank y’all so much!!!

And for sticking up for her when trying to deal with the inept Doctors in Hospital in Gunnison, all the Doctors missed the Kidney cancer, even though it is easily seen by another Doctor in Denver, in her first ex ray ultrasound test. Nine month old records! Her records...Gunnison hospital all missed then gave her lots of grief during all of the ordering of other tests to try to find it..
Gunnison's favorite saying is "lets wait and see"... when people go to see them.. in desperation trying to get answers. they don't care

Great people. Slice and dice that skin cancer quickly. Get in there and get weird growth on your body removed.

Great dermatologist! I've known Dr Timko for years and wouldn't trust anyone else with any skin issues.
