Services
Ware Funeral Home was established in 1891 in Chillicothe by Carey Jacob Ware. Originally, the funeral home was located on East Second Street and remained there until 1926 when Carey moved the business to its current location at 121 West Second Street. In 1938, Thomas A Ware became a partner with his father and was joined by his son Charles M. "Chuck" Ware in 1951.
At Ware Funeral Home, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.

My sister n law passed away from cancer at the age of 44. We was facing some financial difficulties and Marlin and his staff stepped up and helped our family in ways other companies would not. Marlin and his staff treated us as if they had known us all our lives. I cannot say enough great things about this funeral home but thank you so much for all of your love and support and i pray God will bless you and your staff.

They handled my brother-in-law recently, and I cannot imagine a business being more helpful. They were proactive in providing assistance, even before we knew we needed it. They were available any time of day, and anything we needed or wanted, they did their best to make happen. They have a very nice facility, located in a quiet neighborhood.
