In today's economy, many people are looking for ways to save their hard-earned cash. Some common things they may do include car pooling and shopping for cheaper car insurance. However, it is never a smart idea to neglect car repairs, especially when it involves your brakes.
Whether you live in Margate, Coconut Creek, or Fort Lauderdale, maintaining your car brakes is essential not only to keep your vehicle running properly, but to keep you and others safe as well. Not being able to stop your car when you need to can be a serious problem, indeed. When you choose to ignore your car's brake system, not only do you risk getting into a bad accident, but you also place unnecessary strain on its calipers.

When you are driving in extreme weather, you realize the importance of your car's cooling and heating system. During very cold or hot weather, this system keeps your vehicle at a comfortable temperature. However, when it is not working properly, driving can be quite miserable, indeed.
There are many things that can go wrong with your car's cooling and heating system; however, the most common problems include faulty heaters and thermostats, broken belts and hoses, and leaky water pumps and radiators.Any of these problems can cause your car to be cold in the winter and too hot in the summer.

Your car's drivetrain is what connects the engine to the wheels. There are several different types of drivetrains, and each one of them works differently as well. By understanding the importance of these systems, you will realize how essential it is to keep them in good condition. A front-wheel drive system sends all of your engine's power to the front wheels.
Top car performance is essential to keep your vehicle running efficiently and reliably. While the recommended maintenance schedule may vary from one car to another, there are a few things that you should do regularly no matter what type of car you have. Here, we will be looking at just a few of the things that can help maintain top auto performance in your vehicle.
Many people simply do not realize the importance of maintaining their car's suspension systems. While they may remember to service their brakes, exhaust and tires, the suspension system is often overlooked. However, this is unfortunate, as this system is what helps you maintain control while driving on the road.

This company quoted 340$ for brake pads and rotors, which we agreed sounded right. Then 5 minutes later calls again and says 670$ because the brake calipers needed to be replaced and so does the brake tube. We knew this was not true, so we took it to somebody a friend recommend and they said our calibers were LIKE NEW, he showed us everything. All we needed was pads and rotors and now our brakes work perfect. Business advice, don't try and make a quick buck off your clients, some of these people are on their last dollars to fix their car. Don't be selfish

I went to have an oil change, ended up with new brakes. My brakes had 150,000 miles without a change and they where worn out. They also checked my radiator, which I believed it was losing coolant. No need to change the radiator. Just a new cap did the job. Very honest and friendly people with fair prices. I will be back for future repairs. Highly recommended.

I felt some type of honesty with this place that I haven't gotten anywhere else. I originally went there to get a battery connector replaced, and had in mind to do my brakes with a different mechanic who said I needed 4 rotors and 4 brake pads. Coming into Dr. Brakes, they only recommended 2 front brake pads and 2 front rotors. Right away I felt like these people weren't trying to scam me, and were keeping honest. Because I did everything in their shop, they gave me a discount. I will be back for any other issues I may have with my car. Their service is AWESOME!

This guy, very friendly and professional!
After going to dealership and being quoted an "arm &Leg" decided to take me vehicle to Dr Brakes after reading reviews.
Brought my vehicle in, they immediately pulled it in, evaluated problem, and showed me issues under the vehicle.
I allowed him to do the work, the guy even gave me loaner car while my van was being worked on.
They completed job, half the price of that darn dealership! I am happy and satisfied!

The name does not give away that this place is a full service mechanic. We have three vehicles ranging from a small car to a newer luxury SUV and and old I beat up pick up truck. I take all my vehicles here no matter what the problem or service is I need. I found them to be honest quick and priced fair. I'm relieved to have found them. I have been taking my vehicles there for over 2 years now and and increasingly happy with this place. The owner is a great guy and a straight shooter. He has low overhead and passes on the savings so don't be discouraged by the location.

I thought this was a good place but I was completely WRONG! I dropped my car off here after being in an accident and when I came back to retrieve my car someone had smashed my car window and broken into my car. No one knew what happened and even though they have cameras the cameras supposedly "didn't catch anything!" Instead of the owner telling me that he would fix my window since the car was in his care he just brushed the situation off like it wasn't his problem! I even came back to try to speak with him again to get some sort of agreement or understanding and he wouldn&apos

My parents took their car to Dr. Brakes. Giovanni the manager took great care of them. They mentioned he was very professional, helpful and took his time to explain things to them in detail.
They did not try to upsell on what we thought was a need to have brakes changed but instead was only tire pressure. I'm always skeptical when I send my older Dad out on his own. But they came home raving about how courteous he was and it was a pleasure doing business with them.
Would definitely recommend and return to them in the future.

Whenever I have to take my car in to get serviced, I always have a terrible feeling in my stomach that it's going to cost me thousands of dollars. Yossi and Nick did a wonderful job telling me what I needed to get done and what could wait. They took me out to their warehouse multiple times to show me what the problems were. It's very rare to find an honest mechanic who does quality work at a more than fair price. I will definitely take my care back if any other issues arrive and will not hesitate to recommend them to friends.

I got stuck with my car, Mercedes 2003, on the highway. I called Dr. Brakes and they towed my vehicle within 30 minutes. When I got there the mechanic said that a pooly froze which broke the belt. Two hours later, I was back on the road and I paid $265.
The service was excellent, the price was below of what I expected and I definitely recommend this place.

Today i went in for an oil change and have to have running bars removed from my truck. While I was there a woman and her mom were there having a car inspected and Yosee the owner came out and said that there was nothing wrong and NO charge! You just don't meet people like this anymore in today's day .. honest decent people that say there's nothing wrong with the car and he didn't even charge her. AWESOME!

Well lets start with the idea of leaving no stars. Terrible experiences. First off we paid $854.93 for a new AC and "sale" oil change. Well the AC stopped working in 1 and 1/2 months. On the paperwork and initial contact it clearly states we have 12 month warranty. We went over 5 times to the shop to have him take a look at the truck. He said you need to come at 8am and leave it. Im open Sunday after two weeks of going by and returning on a Sunday where they said o we cant get the part on Sundays. His mechanic said that so we off again and return for the 7th time on Monday at 7:50am.

Needed to get a brake job done in a hurry - they were squeaking bloody murder... called around and Dr. Brakes said - "bring it over, we'll look at it and give you a quote, and do a job fast!".
Brought the car over, Ilan (the manager) test-drove it, hoisted it up on the lift and gave his diagnosis - new rear pads & rotors for $250! (I was expecting at least twice that - from previous experiences in NYC). He estimated the job to take 1.5 hrs... and it was exactly that. He also checked our oil and told us that we still had life on that, so no reason to change at this point
