A Last Will and Testament is a legal document that specifically declares how you want your assets distributed after your death. If you die without a Will, then state law determines how your assets will be distributed and the result may not be what you would have chosen. At Crews Law, we will take through the process of creating a legally binding will that distributes your assets to beneficiaries YOU choose.
Just like a Will, a Trust allows you to name your beneficiaries, guardians for children, and to set limitations on your children's access to assets. The big difference between a Will and a Trust is the avoidance of probate. The probate process can be stressful, expensive and time-consuming. With a well-planned trust, you can avoid probate and pass your assets directly to your beneficiaries.
Probate is the process of gathering your assets, paying your last bills and expenses, and distributing the assets to your beneficiaries. Many people think having a Will avoids probate, but that is not true. If you have a valid Will, the probate court will follow it in determining who gets your property, but the probate process is still required if you own property in your own name when you die.
You may be familiar with guardians for children, and guardians in estate planning law are similar. A Guardian takes care of an adult who can no longer take care of themselves due to incapacitation or physical impairment. As people age, they can become infirm, develop dementia, or suffer injuries that prevent them from caring for themselves.
A Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal document whereby you can appoint someone to manage your financial affairs if you become unable to do so. Your "attorney-in-fact" will have the power to write checks, discuss accounts, request IRA distributions, and many other financial transactions on your behalf.

Mr. Crew’s handled a very complicated will for me, with complete knowledge and professionalism . Having him handle everything was a blessing, I was able to do what I needed to with all the personal things that go with loosing a love one. He will do a little to help or take it all on. Much easier when you are dealing with properties and court questions. At times I emailed him with questions related to anything, you have a lot of info. He always responds to emails as soon as possible. He is very caring and looks out for his clients, I plan to use with any legal needs, time for new will soon. Can’t

My sister and I lost our mom in April and we desperately needed help in settling her estate. I called Mr. Crews as he had helped her with the planning of her will and he was the kindest most compassionate and knowledgeable attorney. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order and kept in touch with me regularly to advise me how things were going. I am so thankful and would highly recommend him.

I used Chuck to create a will and trust. Chuck did a great job for me at what seemed to be a reasonable and fare price. However what was very impressive was that I moved out of state and had a few issues with the trust in the new state and Chuck was very kind to help me out both times, very quickly with no mention of charges. That is a great service and I highly recommend him.
