Services
We are LifeServices Assisted Living, a privately owned company that has developed, constructed, owns and directly operates nine premier assisted living communities throughout western Pennsylvania and the greater Cleveland, Ohio area. LifeServices was founded in 1995 by our Co-Owners Mr. Scott D. Allen and Mr. Timothy W. Coughlin, who together lead and manage all of our Communities on a day to day basis from their central office in Erie, Pa.
Joining a community is a big decision for families and we know that you have several questions about this potentially life changing event. My Mother says, "I'm not ready yet", but all of us as family are doing all that we can, and it's not enough as compared to the help she needs daily. When is it time to seriously consider assisted living for a loved one?

Hawthorne Woods is a wonderful Assisted Living Community. They refer to the building as a "community" rather than a patient type relationship. All of their caregivers care deeply for the residents and this extends into the managerial staff as well. They have a fantastic Activities Coordinator and it shows through their community Facebook page, which is open to everyone. I encourage you to check it out if you're interested in placing a loved one into the community of Hawthorne Woods. Their weekly activity calendar is posted as well as pictures of community members and highlights from the day.

I have several friends that live at this facility. They are all happy and well cared for. I would recommend the folks who run this Community. They try hard and care deeply. They explained to me the challenges of finding caregivers right now and that's understandable. The basics get done and that's a lot better than a lot of other places.

I have a family member that needs assisted living and has been a resident for almost 2 years. The staff monitors and attends to daily needs regularly
Surprisingly, the managers know each other and the residents on a first name basis, not something routinely found in today's climate.
They respect their residents and treat them accordingly, keep that in mind when making a decision for your loved one(s).
